Stars and Stripes

Taylored Expressions

June 30, 2020

Good Morning and Happy (almost) July! Today I am using some fun supplies I bought to create a few 4th of July cards and treat boxes.

I started my card by stamping the Fireworks Background Stamp in VersaMark ink and adding white embossing powder. I then lightly blended a soft blue ink over the embossed card panel.

Although it is is hard to see in my photo, there are white stars strategically placed on the stamp. These stars line up with the coordinating stencils that are also part of the stamp set. I placed the first stencil over the card panel, using the etched stars on the stencil to line everything up. I then added Glitz Glitter Gel in Red Velvet.

Next, I lined the second stencil up on my card panel and added Glitz Glitter Gel in Brilliant Blue.

For my sentiments, I used the Mini Strips Patriotic Stamp Set. I love how this stamp set along with the coordinating die creates a bunch of sentiment strips all at once. So quick and easy!

Next, I trimmed down my card panel and attached my sentiments with foam adhesive.

Here is a close up of the Glitz Glitter Gel... so fun and easy to use!

For my treat boxes, I used the All Tucked Ink Die. I die cut the boxes from some older Bella Blvd paper I had in my stash. I then used the All Tucked In Windows Die to create the window in the top of my boxes. For my sentiments, I once again used the Mini Strips Patriotic Stamp Set. I can't wait to fill these little boxes with candy and take them to the ladies at my husband's office.

I will be linking up my card to The Card Concept Challenge. I used the colors in the photo along with some of the prints for my inspiration. My card will fit into their category of Clean and Layered. I have clean lines, lots of layers, embossing and I feel that my card is clean and fresh. I hope you get a chance to play along.

Thanks for joining me today and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,

Just Add Flowers

June 29, 2020

Good Morning and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend. Today I am using the Just Add Flowers stamp and die from The Stamp Market. I had a little extra time a few days ago and I have been wanting to use this set, so I thought I would share the cards I made here on my blog too.

For my first card, I stamped my leaves directly onto my card panel. I then stamped my flowers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I attached my flowers with foam adhesive for a little added dimension.

To finish my card, I added my sentiment and a few sparkling clear jewels to my card panel.

For my next card, I used the coordinating stamps and dies for both my flowers and leaves.

I attached the leaf clusters and flowers to my card panel with foam adhesive. I then stamped my sentiment and once again attached my banner to my card panel.

For both of my cards I kept the leaf design and overall layout basically the same. You could easily change this around and not create a background covered in leaves. I also think it would be really pretty to die cut the leaves from white cardstock and then add color just to your flowers.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my cards and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,

Summer Sloths

June 28. 2020

Good Morning Friends! Today I am on the Pink & Main Blog sharing a summer themed card using some products from their latest release.

For my card today, I used the adorable Summer Sloth Stamp Set. I stamped my image in a Copic friendly black ink and colored it with my Copic markers. I then used the Summer Sloth Die to cut it out. The adorable little sloth just makes me smile.

For my card panel, I used the Plaid 1 and Plaid 2 Stamp Sets. These stamps create the perfect background! I did use my Misti to get a good impression. I trimmed my panel down with the new Layered Rectangles A2 Die and attached it to a piece of red cardstock that I also cut with the dies. These dies are a definite Must Have! I will be reaching for them often.

To finish up my card, I wrapped baker's twine around the middle of my panel. I then used the new Layered Circle Dies. I die cut a circle from white and red cardstock and layered them together. Lastly, I attached my Summer Sloth to my card panel.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! It definitely has me in the mood for summer!

Enjoy your day,

New Release

June 26, 2020

Good Morning Friends! I am so excited to be sharing my card for the New Release at Trinity Stamps. It is such a fun release with a little bit for everyone!! It just might be my favorite release so far... It is my day to share for the Instagram Hop, but I thought I would also share my card here. You will find all of the hop details on Instagram.

For my card I am using the Slimline Layered Balloons Stencil. This is a two piece stencil set that is super fun and easy to use. There are etched guide lines on both stencils so it is very easy to line up. For my ink blending I used Distress Ink. The colors I used are Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feather and Wilted Violet.

Once by ink blending was finished I spritzed my card panel with a little water. I then ran it through my die cutting machine with the Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Window Die Set to create my stitched border. For my sentiment, I used the new Scripty Birthday Stand Alone Die Set. This is a definite Must Have! I love the font and the size of this die. I ran it through my die cutting machine three times and stacked my sentiment for added dimension.

Thanks for joining me today! I can't wait to see what you think of the New Release. There are so many wonderful new products available with this release. Happy Shopping!!

Also, please join us on Instagram for our Hop. There will be lots of fun and inspiration.

June 25, 2020

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are doing well and having a great week. Today I am sharing a card that uses some fun dies from the New Release at Pretty Pink Posh. Did you already place your order? What was your favorite?

I started my card by running the Stitched Strips Die through my die cutting machine multiple times to get a variety of strips. I love how this die set includes multiple sizes. I then ink blended the strips with Distress Oxide Ink. The colors I used were Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet. I attached the strips to my card panel and trimmed them down.

For my sentiment, I used the new Hi Shaker Die. I die cut it two times and stacked the dies together for dimension. I then attached the die cut directly to my card panel.

That is all for today... a bright and cheerful card that was fun to create! Thanks for joining me and I will be back soon with another project to share with you all.

Enjoy your day,

New Release

June 22, 2020

Hi Friends! Today I am on the Trinity Stamps Blog sharing a sneak peek of some dies from the New Release. The New Release will be available on June 26th and you will not want to miss it!

For my card today, I am using the gorgeous new Slimline Series: Foliage Frame Die Set. It comes with an amazing leafy frame die and all of the little flowers to fill in and complete your card with.

I started my card by ink blending Distress Oxide Ink onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I used Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Wilted Violet Ink. I spritzed my panels with water and then added some white paint splatters. Once my panels were dry, I ran them through my die cutting machine with the Foliage Frame Die Set.

I attached my frame to a card panel that I had ink blended with Tumbled Glass ink. I then placed all of my flowers in a random pattern around the boarder of my frame. Lastly, I die cut the Scripty Birthday Stand Alone Die (also party of the new release) to create my sentiment.

Isn’t this frame amazing? I am in love with it and all of the possibilities! Wouldn’t it be so pretty all done in all white to create a wedding card?

Thanks for joining me today! Remember all of the New Release products will be available on June 26th.

Enjoy your day,

New Release Blog Hop

June 19, 2020

Good Morning Friends and Welcome to Day 2 of the New Release Blog Hop for Pretty Pink Posh. Are you loving the new release as much as I am? I am loving all of these cute jungle animals, so fun to create with. I am combining a few new sets for my card today, everything works perfectly together. Let's get started...

I started my card by doing all of my stamping. I used the Monkey Friends Set along with the Jungle Friends Set. I stamped them with a Copic friendly black ink and colored them with my Copic markers. Next, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

To create my scene, I used the new Nature Essentials Die Set. This is such a great die and a definite must have. I also used the Stitched Leafy Border Die to create my vine for my monkey to hang from. I ink blended all of the pieces with Distress Oxide Ink and attached them to a kraft card base. For my sentiment, I used the Simple Sentiments Stamp Set. This will definitely be a set I reach for often, so many occasions are included. To finish my card, I attached my animals with foam adhesive to my card front.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. This is such a great release and I can't wait to share all of my projects with you all.

Pink & Main

June 18, 2020

Hi Friends and Welcome Back! Today I am on the Pink & Main Blog sharing another birthday card, though you could easily create this same card for many different occasions.

For my card today, I am using the Wildflowers Stamp Set. I began by stamping the floral images in a random pattern with a white pigment ink. I added clear embossing powder and heat set it so the ink would quickly dry.

Next, I cut a few thin strips of colored cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from the Special Day Stamp Set onto the pink strip and attached these to my card panel. I then trimmed my card panel down and attached it to an A2 card base.

To finish my card, I added a few clear sequins to my card panel. What do you think? I hope I inspired you to give this technique a try.

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,
