Good Morning and Happy (almost) July! Today I am using some fun supplies I bought to create a few 4th of July cards and treat boxes.
I started my card by stamping the Fireworks Background Stamp in VersaMark ink and adding white embossing powder. I then lightly blended a soft blue ink over the embossed card panel.
Although it is is hard to see in my photo, there are white stars strategically placed on the stamp. These stars line up with the coordinating stencils that are also part of the stamp set. I placed the first stencil over the card panel, using the etched stars on the stencil to line everything up. I then added Glitz Glitter Gel in Red Velvet.
Next, I lined the second stencil up on my card panel and added Glitz Glitter Gel in Brilliant Blue.
For my sentiments, I used the Mini Strips Patriotic Stamp Set. I love how this stamp set along with the coordinating die creates a bunch of sentiment strips all at once. So quick and easy!
Next, I trimmed down my card panel and attached my sentiments with foam adhesive.
Here is a close up of the Glitz Glitter Gel... so fun and easy to use!
For my treat boxes, I used the All Tucked Ink Die. I die cut the boxes from some older Bella Blvd paper I had in my stash. I then used the All Tucked In Windows Die to create the window in the top of my boxes. For my sentiments, I once again used the Mini Strips Patriotic Stamp Set. I can't wait to fill these little boxes with candy and take them to the ladies at my husband's office.
I will be linking up my card to The Card Concept Challenge. I used the colors in the photo along with some of the prints for my inspiration. My card will fit into their category of Clean and Layered. I have clean lines, lots of layers, embossing and I feel that my card is clean and fresh. I hope you get a chance to play along.
Enjoy your day,
