Grateful Greetings

Pink And Main

August 18, 2019

Hi Friends! Today I am on the Pink and Main Blog sharing a sneak peek at some Wonderful new stamps that are being released in a few days. You are going to Love all the new sentiments and banner strips...the possibilities are endless with these sets.

For my card, I am using the Grateful Greetings stamp set. I set my sentiment up in my MISTI and moved my cardstock up or down stamping my sentiment in a rainbow of colors. You can do this with any and all of the sentiments strips that are being released. I think it would be really fun to change the colors depending on the season or the colors you are using in your card design.

Next, I used a piece of paper from the Summer Splash paper pad for my card panel. You will Love this paper pad...full of rainbows and fun. I attached this to my A2 card base and attached my Thank You strip down the center on my card panel.

To finish my card, I stamped the large Thank You sentiment (I love this font) from the Grateful Greetings stamp set onto a white cardstock strip. Lastly, I added a few enamel dots and attached it to my card panel.

These sentiments are great, definitely a Must Have!
Enjoy your day,

MFT Stamps: Camp Create

August 17, 2019

Happy Saturday Friends! Today I am sharing my cards for the MFT Stamps Camp Create Challenges. Rather than blogging every card separately I have combined all of my cards into one post. I will keep the details fairly simple and straight forward. I followed the videos and used the steps outlined in the videos for each technique. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them for you.
I decided to use the challenges as a way to get ahead start on some of my Christmas cards this year. So you will notice that all of my cards are Christmas themed. Is it too early?

Day 1: Inlaid Made Easy

The challenge for Day 1 was Inlaid Made Easy. I die cut all of my elements from my card panel and inlaid everything back together. This is a technique I use a lot...I love how the card appears to have a lot of dimension but actually everything is flat.

Die: MFT Stamps- Blueprints #27, Sentiment Label Strip, Let It Snowflake Too Die Set, Joy Die-Namics
Paper: MFT Stamps- Cardstock, Candy Land Paper Pack

Day 2: Magnificent Masking

The challenge for Day 2 was Magnificent Masking. I created my mask and did my ink blending.

I love when you peel the masks off!

After I stamped my sentiment in the center of my circle I added clear embossing powder. I love the little extra shine that the embossing powder adds.

Stamps: MFT Stamps Handwritten Holiday
Dies: MFT Stamps- Stitched Circle STAX, Let It Snowflake Too Die Set
Paper: MFT Stamps Cardstock, Masking Paper
Other: Clear Embossing Powder

Day 3: Background Bonanza

The challenge for Day 3 was Background Bonanza. I created my background by using the Split Chevron Cover-Up Die. I filled it in with paper from the Fresh Squeezed Chevron Paper Pack.

For my stamping I used the fun snowman from the Frosty Friends stamp set. I colored it with Copic markers and stamped and embossed my sentiment. I followed the Sketch Challenge for my layout.

Stamps: MFT Stamps Frosty Friends
Dies: MFT Stamps- Frosty Friends, Split Chevron Cover-Up
Paper: MFT Stamps- Cardstock, Fresh Squeezed Chevron

Day 4: Monochromatic Magic

The challenge for Day 3 was Monochromatic Magic. I started my card by ink blending snow cone ink onto snow cone cardstock with a snowflake stencil to crate my monochromatic background. Next, I used the Filled with Joy stamp and die set to create my Joy sentiment.

Stamps: MFT Stamps Filled with Joy
Dies: MFT Stamps Filled with Joy
Cardstock: MFT Stamps
Other: PTI Snowflake Stencil

Day 5: Awesome Ombre

The Day 5 challenge was Awesome Ombre. I decided to create some Christmas tags for this challenge. I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Mowed Lawn for my ombre effect. I die cut cut two tags for each tag that I created. I then die cut the Christmas Tree Window Die from my tag and from my ink blended panel.

Next, I attached my two tags together and inlaid my ombre pieces back into the tag.

Dies: MFT Stamps Christmas Tree Window
Paper: MFT Stamps Cardstock

If you stuck with me to the very end...Thank You! I have to admit it was kind of fun to figure out a way to complete the challenges with Christmas products. It also feels great to get ahead start on some Christmas cards.

I hope you are able to play along with the Camp Create Challenges at MFT Stamps this week.

Enjoy your day,

Thinking Of You

Technique Tuesday

August 15, 2019

Hi Friends! I hope you all are having a great week! I am stopping by today to share another card using the Lotus Stamp Set from Technique Tuesday.

I started my card by stamping my Lotus Flower in black ink. I then used my Zig Clean Color Pens to watercolor my image. (No. 021 Light Carmine, No. 041 Light Green and No. 050 Yellow). Once this was dry I used a couple of Copic markers (R20, R22) to add a little shading to my flower. Next, I used the Lotus Crafting Die to die cut my flower.

For my card design, I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick across the top of my card panel. I misted my ink with a little water and set it aside to dry. I stamped my sentiment onto a linen piece of cardstock and added a gold glitter strip across the top before attaching it to my ink blended piece.

To finish my card I attached my Lotus flower with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a few clear rainstone embellishments as an added accent to my card. Thanks for stopping by...

Enjoy your day,

Hello Bluebird

August 14, 2019

Good Morning Friends! I have been trying to use some stamp sets that I bought over the last few months that I have not yet used. So today I am sharing a card that uses some stamps and dies from Hello Bluebird Stamps. I will link the stamps to the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Store because that is where I purchased them. Hello Bluebird makes the cutest images and in my opinion their dies are reasonably priced.

I started my card by creating my background with the After The Rain Die. I die cut the background from white cardstock and used my blending sponges to add ink. I didn't add any ink to my sponges, I just used the "leftover" ink to get a nice soft shade. Next, I used the Sparkles Script Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment onto my bottom cloud. Once all the pieces were ink blended, I put my die cut pieces back together (kind of like a puzzle) attaching them to my A2 card base.

For my images, I used the Fairy Garden Stamp Set...such an adorable set of stamps! I colored my stamped images with Copic markers and then used the Fairy Garden Dies to cut them out.

To finish my card, I attached my fairies to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added the cute little ladybug to the bottom of my card...he was just too cute not to include!

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Have you used Hello Bluebird stamps before? I really think they have some great sets, and like I said before, you can't beat the price of their dies.
*Remember you have until Noon today to leave a comment on my Saturday Giveaway Post to be eligible for the prize!

Enjoy your day,

You Are Special

Pretty Pink Posh

August 13, 2019

Good Morning Friends! Today I have a card that uses the Peacock Friends Stamp and Die Set from Pretty Pink Posh. I love this stamp set and I have been wanting to use it again...Next week will be the Fall release so I thought I better get busy. Although I do think this peacock would be Beautiful in fall colors. What do you think?

I started by stamping the Peacock in black ink and coloring it with Copic markers. I colored the feathers in rainbow colors and then used C1, C2 and C3 for the peacock body. Next, I used the Peacock Friends Die Set to die cut the peacock.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment onto my white card panel. I then layered this onto my purple mat and rainbow patterned paper card front. I attached my peacock with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added some jewels from the Party Jewel Mix...every card needs a little sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I inspired you to pull out a stamp set that you haven't used in awhile. Also, don't forget to leave a comment on my Anniversary (Giveaway) Blog Post from Saturday. I will have my drawing tomorrow.

Enjoy your day,

Sending You Strength

Butterfly Reflections, Ink

August 12, 2019

Hi Crafty Friends!! Today, I am sharing a card on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog. I am using the Gorgeous Beloved Daisy stamp set by Altenew, definitely a favorite!

I started my card by using the Beloved Daisy Stamp Set. I did all of my stamping with my MISTI, such a great tool for keeping all the layers lined up and for getting a good impression with your ink. Next, I used the Beloved Daisy Die Set to die cut my flowers and the stems. There is also a Coordinating Beloved Daisy Mask Stencil to go along with this set.

For my sentiment, I used the Pink Fresh Studio You've Got This Stamp Set. This is such a great set, designed by my crafty friend Caly Person (she is so talented). I love how you can build a sentiment with this set, so many great and encouraging words. I stamped my sentiment in VersaMark Ink (onto Vellum Paper) and heat set Silver Embossing Powder. When you are using a heat gun with vellum, make sure your heat gun is very hot and keep moving it over the vellum so your paper doesn't warp.

To finish my card, I attached my vellum to a piece of light aqua cardstock. I added my flowers and a few Pretty Pink Posh Valentine Jewels to my card front. Lastly, I attached everything to my A2 card base.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day,

Pink & Main

August 11, 2019

Hi Friends and Happy Sunday! Today, I am on the Pink and Main Blog sharing a Fun card using their Super-sized Stamp and Die Set. This set just makes me smile...and maybe a little hungry too. Nothing like a little "junk" food, and hey, when it's stamps the calories don't count!

Make sure you stop by the Pink & Main blog to see all of the details!!
Enjoy your day,

One Year Anniversary

August 10, 2019

Good Morning my blogging friends! Today I'm celebrating the One Year Anniversary of starting my blog!! I truly can't believe that one year has passed. Somedays I wondered if anyone was reading or following along... I am so Thankful for each and everyone of you who have visited, left a comment, sent an email or offered a little support and encouragement.  I Thank You from the bottom of my heart!

This past year has been a great one for me and my crafting, but also for my family. I would like to especially thank Annette Allen from My Clever Creations. She was the owner of Drive By Crafts and the person who helped me get my blog started in the very beginning. There are also numerous other friends, that I have made, that continue to help me along the way. I Thank You from the bottom of my heart!

I truly can't believe that I have and continue to be on some Amazing Design Team with the most kind and generous companies. I am proud of myself for sticking with this and making it work...the hard work has definitely paid off. Thank you to all of the companies that have sent me products and crafting supplies to use and promote. I Thank You from the bottom of my heart!

I also want to Thank my family. Both of my girls have helped me with my blog and answered a thousand questions when I can't figure something "technical" out. We are all doing well, happy and healthy. Meredith graduated from Georgetown University in May. She is living in DC and working at a job she loves. Morgan finished her first year at Gonzaga University in Spokane and will be heading back to school in a week. Ric and I both miss our girls like crazy, but have also enjoyed being "empty-nesters". We have been able to travel a lot this past year (sometimes for work and sometimes just for fun) and overall just enjoy life. I Thank You from the bottom of my heart!

So we can't have an Anniversary Celebration without a Giveaway! I will do a drawing next Wednesday, August 14 at noon. All you have to do is leave a comment right here on this post and I will pick a random winner to receive a padded envelope full of crafty supplies!! (Some new and some gently used, though all in great usable condition) I am sorry, but at this time my Giveaway is only for US residents.
Please leave a comment to be entered into my drawing. It is just a small way that I am able to say Thank You!

Thanks again to each and every one of you!! I truly appreciate each of you!

Butterfly Kisses

Lawn Fawn

August 9, 2019

Happy Friday Friends! Today I am playing along with the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. The challenge this time was to create an interactive I used this as motivation to use some dies and supplies that I have not yet used. Do you ever do that, Buy stamps and then not use them? I really try to use everything I buy, but once in awhile a few sets get pushed to the bottom of my pile.

For the challenge, I created a Shadow Box Card. I really enjoy making interactive cards, though I always struggle with photographing them. Do you have any tips?
I started by stamping and coloring my images from the Lawn Fawn set Butterfly Kisses. I colored the images with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For the shadow box, I used the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Die Set along with the Shadow Box Card Park Add-On Die Set. I followed the directions on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel for assembling the box, it really is easy to put together if you follow their steps. Next comes the fun part, adding all of your images and creating your scene.
Here is one more photo looking down into the shadow box:

I love how the shadow box will  fold flat and fit into a standard A2 envelope. Thanks for stopping my today! Please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question.
I hope you can stop by again tomorrow...I am celebrating my One Year Blog Anniversary with a Giveaway!!
Enjoy your day,

Technique Tuesday

Tommy and Polly the Tropical Birds

August 7, 2019

Good Morning! I hope you all are doing well! Today, I am sharing a fun birthday card for the latest release at Technique Tuesday. This month the Animal House stamp set is called Tommy and Polly The Tropical Birds. I love the images this time, super fun to color. And as always, the sentiments are the Best.

I started my card by stamping the images from the Tommy and Polly the Tropical Birds Stamp Set in black ink. I then colored my images with Copic markers and used the Tommy and Polly Crafting Dies to die cut my images.

For my card design, I die cut the Essential Stitched Label from my white cardstock panel. I then mounted this onto a piece of Doodlebug Design tropical patterned paper with foam adhesive. Next, I attached my birds, flowers and leaves to my card front.

To finish my card, I stamped and embossed my sentiment with WOW Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. I attached this to the bottom of my card and added a tropical flower.
I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks again for all of you who leave me a comment or send me a message!! I truly appreciate it!

Enjoy your day,

Summer Birthday!

Pretty Pink Posh

August 5, 2019

Good Morning Friends and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a Wonderful weekend. Today, I am sharing a Birthday card using lots of products from Pretty Pink Posh. I combined a few of my favorites to make a "boy" themed card...something I never have enough of.

I started my card, by stamping the Summer Surfboards in a random pattern onto my card front with VersaMark ink. Then, I heat set white embossing powder onto my stamped images.

Next, I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink onto my card panel. I used Fossilized Amber, Forest Moss and Faded Jeans.

For my images, I stamped my surfboard in Fossilized Amber ink and used the Coordinating Summer Surfboard Die to die cut my image. I then stamped and colored the toucan from the Tropical Toucans Stamp Set. I also used the Tropical Toucans Coordinating Die to die cut my image.

I then began working on my card design. I trimmed down my card panel and mounted it onto a dark blue mat (close to Faded Jeans ink) and then mounted it onto my mustard yellow A2 card base. I added a piece of vellum to my card front so my stamped images wouldn't get "lost". I die cut the Happy Birthday Script Die and mounted it onto my card front. Lastly, I attached my images with foam adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I inspired you to create a card that would be perfect for the boys in your life.

Enjoy your day,
