Blooming Branches

Technique Tuesday

June 1, 2019

Good Morning and Welcome to the New Release Blog Hop for Technique Tuesday! Today, I am sharing a card that uses the Gorgeous new Blooming Branches Stamp Set.

I started my card by stamping my floral images from the Blooming Branches Stamp Set onto watercolor paper with Gina K Amalgam Black Ink.  Next, I used Zig Clean Color Pens to watercolor the flowers and branches. I used: No. 043 Olive Green, No. 050 Yellow, No. 028 Pale Pink, and No. 026 Light Pink.

Once my watercoloring was dry I stamped my sentiment in between my two floral images with Prairie Grass Ink (Papertrey Ink).

Next, I trimmed down my card panel and mounted it onto a Prairie Grass cardstock mat. To finish my card I mounted my card panel onto an A2 card base. I kept my card fairly clean and simple, perfect for mailing.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Party Animals

May 31, 2019

Happy Friday and last day of May! Tomorrow is June and my girl, Morgan's 19th Birthday! Wah! How did she grow up so fast? She finished her first year of college and is home for the summer...makes my heart happy to have her home! Happy Birthday Morgan!! I love you and I am so proud of you!
Today, I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and thought it would only be appropriate to create a birthday card.

I started my card by using the MFT Stamps stamp set: Party Animals. I did all of my stamping with a Copic friendly ink and colored my images with Copic markers. Next, I used the coordinating Party Animals to die cut my images.

To assemble my card I used the Freshly Made Sketch image as my inspiration.

I used patterned paper from the Sunny Studio Rainbow Bright paper pack for the left side of my card. I cut a banner for my sentiment and a second banner for some added color. To finish my card, I attached everything to an A2 card base using the sketch as my guide.

I hope you find some time to be creative this weekend.
Enjoy your day,
Dana

Pretty Pink Posh

Bee Friends

June 30, 2019

Good Morning! Today I am on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog sharing a card that uses a few of my favorite sets from Pretty Pink Posh.

I started my card by stamping the wreath from the Spring Wreath Stamp Set, along with the smaller bees from the Bee Friends Stamp Set. I then colored my images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies, Spring Wreath and Bee Friends, to die cut the images.

Next, I started working on my card panel. I began by ink blending Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass to create my background. I then used the Scallop Frames Die Set to die cut my background and a white frame. I attached this to a bright yellow cardstock mat before attaching it to my A2 card base.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set in the center of my card. Lastly, I attached my wreath and the fun little bees with foam adhesive to my card front.

Snappy Birthday

Technique Tuesday

May 29, 2019

Hi Friends! I hope your week is going well. Today, I am sharing another card from the latest release at Technique Tuesday

I started my card by stamping the Alligator & Crocodile from the Stamp Set onto a green piece of Sunny Studio (Polka Dot Parade) patterned paper. I also stamped and colored one of the birds included in the set with Copic Markers. Next, I used the Alligators & Crocodiles Crafting Dies to die cut my images.

For my card design, I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean for my background. Next, I used patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design At The Zoo paper pad for my layout. I attached my images with foam adhesive and stamped my sentiment onto a flag before attaching it to the top of my card.

Do you ever use patterned paper instead of coloring? Sometimes it is a fun way to mix it up a bit...and in all honesty it makes for a quick card! I hope you give it a try a sometime.

Supplies:

My oldest daughter just graduated and has a new job as a digital analyst for a political organization. While she was home over the weekend she thought she needed a few cards using this set too! She thought this sentiment was perfect!

Enjoy your day,

Fly A Kite

Pretty Pink Posh

May 28, 2019

Good Morning! I hope you all enjoyed your three day weekend (if you had one). There were lots of crafty sales going on...were you able to shop? I actually didn't place any orders this weekend, I am trying to use some stamps and things that I have had for awhile. I did find some time to be creative though. I created the card I am sharing today, and I also created some DT projects for later in June.

Today, I am using the Fly A Kite stamp set from Pretty Pink PoshI think this stamp set was released awhile ago, though I just received it. I am loving the kite images, they are perfect for so many occasions.

I started my card by stamping my kite images in a rainbow of colors. I also stamped the kite strings, clouds and sun at this time in black ink. I used Copic markers to color the sun and kite tails. Next, I used the Fly A Kite Coordinating Dies to cut everything out.

To create my background I used a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass. Once my background was completed I attached all of my images with foam adhesive. I mounted my background onto a Cement Gray mat (MFT Stamps) and attached everything to a slimline card that measures 3.5 x 8.5 and will fit in a standard size business envelope.

I have a few upcoming graduations and I think my card today will be perfect. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a Wonderful week!

Floral Week

Pretty Pink Posh

May 24, 2019

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I am stopping by really quick today to share a card for the Floral Sale at Pretty Pink Posh. You won't want to miss all of the Amazing floral stamps and dies that are on sale this week!!

I started my card by creating my background. I sprayed the back of the Wide Stripes Stencil with Pixie Spray and used Glitz Glitter Gel in White. The Pixie Spray holds your stencil in place so it doesn't move while you are using it.

Next, I stamped my flowers onto cardstock and cut them out with their coordinating dies. To finish my card, I cut a circle in my card panel with the Smallest Scallop Circle die. I attached this to my A2 card base and stamped my sentiment from the Cupcake Critters Stamp Set onto my card.

Lastly, I attached my flowers and leaves to my card front. Do you ever stamp your flowers onto colored cardstock rather than coloring them? I think it is a nice change once in awhile...
You have a few more days to shop the Floral Sale at Pretty Pink Posh!

Supplies:

Please feel free to ask any questions. I have been traveling a lot this past month (just got home late last night) so I am trying to get back into my routine.
Enjoy your day,

Thank You

Pretty Pink Posh

May 23, 2019

Hello Friends! I hope your week is going well. Today, I am sharing a Thank You card using lots of products from Pretty Pink Posh

I started my card by creating my background. I used the Wide Stripes Stencil and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. I layed the stencil onto my card panel horizontal and added my ink, then I turned the stencil vertical and added ink again. This created a perfectly spaced plaid background.

For my flowers, I used the Peonies Stamp Set. I stamped them with Gina K Amalgam ink and used Altenew watercolors. Once they were dry, I die cut the flowers and leaves with the Peonies Coordinating Dies. Next, I attached my flowers to my card front with foam adhesive.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set onto my card panel. This is such a great sentiment set, perfect for so many occasions.

It is also Floral Week at Pretty Pink Posh and all Signature Floral Stamps and Dies Sets are on Sale (Including the Peonies Stamp Set that I used today):
