Happy Birthday Vanessa!!

Butterfly Reflections, Ink

November 29, 2019

Good Morning Friends, Happy Black Friday, Happy Day After Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday Vanessa! Today is Vanessa's Birthday (the owner of Butterfly Reflections, Ink) and we are Celebrating with an Instagram Blog Hop!! So much fun and I can't wait to see what everyone has created. All of the cards and projects will be shared on Instagram but I also wanted to a blog post.

I started my card by creating my background panel with Distress Oxide Ink in Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet. Next, I used my favorite butterfly stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh, Beautiful Butterflies. I stamped the butterflies in VersaMark Ink and heat set Silver Embossing Powder. I used a few Zig and Tombow watercolor pens to watercolor the butterflies before using the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Next, I began working on my card layout. I used the Simple Strips Stamp Set from Taylored Expressions for my sentiment. I then added my butterflies with a little foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in Caribbean Blue and Berry Splash to finish my card. Every card needs a little sparkle... especially a Birthday card for Vanessa!!

Happy Birthday Vanessa!! Wishing you a Year Filled with Lots of Love, Happiness and Success! We all love you and appreciate all that you do for our crafting community!!
Enjoy your day,

Lawn Fawn

Christmas Tags

November 27, 2019

Good Morning Friends! I wanted to stop by quickly today to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. I am so Thankful for each and every one of you. I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with family and friends, and of course lots of yummy food!
Today I am sharing a couple of gift tags for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. This time the challenge is called with Fun with Dies, so I created some gift tags that mostly use die cuts.

I used the Snow Globe Gift Tag Die Set along with the Mice on Ice Stamp and Die Set to create my tags. Originally I had planned to make shaker tags with the dies. Though once I had everything put together I realized I didn't have enough depth for my snow to move around freely...so I took everything a part and reassembled my tags. Do you ever do that? Have an idea in your head and when you go to create it, it doesn't come out the way it was planned? I will definitely be remaking these tags with an extra layer of foam so they can be shakers.

Thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions...I love hearing from you all.
Wishing you all a Very Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy your day,
Dana

Wishing You Joy

Therm O Web
Gina K Designs

November 26, 2019

Good Morning Friends! Today I am sharing a couple of Christmas card that uses some fun products by Gina K Designs for Therm O Web.

I started my card by stamping my ornaments with the Wishing You Joy Stamp Set. I then stamped my sentiment and ornament strings with VersaMark ink and heat set white embossing powder. Next, I flicked a little white paint onto my card front and used the Wishing You Joy Die Set to die cut my ornaments.

Once my ornaments were die cut, I lined up the Wishing You Joy Detail Stencil and applied Glitz Glitter Gel. The stencil includes a few different designs that fit perfectly over your stamped image- so easy to use! The colors of Glitz Glitter Gel that I used were: Grass GreenBrilliant Blue and Red Velvet.

Once everything was dry, I attached my ornaments to my card front with a little foam adhesive.

Once I finished this card I decided to play along with The Card Concept Challenge. Their photo was of gorgeous vintage ornaments:

So I thought if I changed the colors my card would work perfectly.

I followed the same steps as above though this time I added Glitz Glitter Gel in Silver and silver embossing powder.

Such a quick and easy card to create... I will definitely be making a few more cards with this layout.

Enjoy your day,
Dana

Christmas Greeting

Pretty Pink Posh

November 25, 2019

Good Morning Friends and Happy Monday! I hope you all had great weekend. I know it is Thanksgiving week, but Christmas is in One Month!! So I thought I would share another Christmas card with you all today.

For my card today, I am using one of my favorite stamp sets from the newest release at Pretty Pink Posh.

I started by stamping my wreath and some greenery from the Winter Wreath Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair black ink. I added clear embossing powder and used my heat gun to set it. I then used my Zig Clean Color Pens to watercolor my images. Next, I used the Winter Wreath Coordinating Dies to die cut my images. I just love this wreath, so pretty and festive.

I attached a piece of red and white striped paper to the left side of my A2 card base. I then used the Scallop Borders Die to create my green edge before attaching my white card panel. Lastly, I attached my wreath, greenery and sentiment with foam adhesive to finish my card.

Thanks for joining me today! How are you coming along with your Christmas cards? I hope I gave you a little inspiration...

Season's Greetings

Pink & Main

November 24, 2019

Good Morning Friends! How are you doing with all of Christmas crafting? Are you feeling behind? Or are you way ahead of the game? Today, I am sharing a Christmas card on the Pink & Main Blog that would be perfect for mass producing and easy to mail because it is relatively flat.

I started my card by die cutting the Bold Snowflakes from masking paper. I then attached the masks to my card panel.

Next, I added Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac over my card panel and masks.

I then peeled away the masking paper. Once you peel away all of your masks you are left with a beautiful background. The area behind the masks stays white- such a fun and easy background.

Next, I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut my card panel before attaching it to my soft blue top folding card base.

To finish my card, I die cut the Bold Greeting Sentiment from a Silver Sparkle Sheet and attached it to my card panel. What do you think? Will you give this technique a try?

Thanks for joining me today!
Enjoy your day,
Dana

Cheerful Holiday Wishes

Reverse Confetti
Stock Your Stash

November 23, 2019

Good Morning! I hope you all are having a good weekend. Our girls are home for Thanksgiving and we are heading over to Carmel to spend the day at the coast. Should be a Beautiful day! Today I am sharing a card for the Reverse Confetti Stock You Stash Challenge

I started my card by creating my background. I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Faded Jeans onto my card panel. I then used the Pretty Pink Posh Snowflake Stencil and applied Therm O Web Glitz Glitter Gel in White to the card panel. I set this aside to dry and began working on my stamped images.

I stamped my trees from the Reverse Confetti Triangle Trees Stamp Set in shades of green. I then stamped the two snowmen from the Cool Friends Stamp Set and colored them with Copic markers. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from the Triangle Trees stamp set onto my snowbank.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you all have a Wonderful weekend!
Enjoy your day,
Dana

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Pretty Pink Posh

November 20, 2019

Hi Friends! I am back today participating in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Blog Event organized by Tracey McNeely from In My Creative OpinionThis is such a fun event with so many sponsors and designers participating each day. Have you been following along each day? There are so many amazing projects being shared!

Today, I have the honor of participating along with Pretty Pink Posh. A lot of the design team members have created projects, so make sure you stop by Tracey's blog and she will have all of the links.

I started my tags by using my Altenew watercolor pans. I added pinks, greens and a little yellow to sheets of watercolor paper, mixing and adding more paint and or water to get my desired shade of pink. I then added some specks of white acrylic paint to my watercolor sheets. I let this dry and then used the Stitched Poinsettias Dies to die cut my flowers and leaves.

Here is a close up of the poinsettia flower. It is a layering die that includes three different sizes of petals, two different leaves, and two dies for the center of the flower. Such a pretty flower and I love all of the stitched detail.

For my first tag, I used all three layers of petals... I just love this large size, perfect for a tag or a card front. I attached my flower to a Decorative Tag 2 Die, cut from soft aqua cardstock.

I then used the Holiday Greetings Sentiment Set to stamp my sentiment onto my tag. I stamped it with VersaFine Clair ink in black and heat set my sentiment with clear embossing powder.

For my next tag, I followed the same steps as above though this time I added two layers of the smallest petal and left off the largest layer in the back. Because the layers are made to work together your poinsettias look gorgeous no matter how you stack the layers.
I hope I inspired you to create a few more Christmas tags this year!

Thanks again to Tracey McNeely for organizing this fun event!! And thank you to all of the sponsors!! Make sure you stop by Tracey's blog for all of the details and prize information.

Enjoy your day,
Dana

May Your Season Sparkle

Therm O Web

November 19, 2019

Hi Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start...I feel like I am swimming backwards and not making much progress, but I hope to turn that around these next few days. I have a growing list and I hope to cross a few things off today and tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

Today, I am sharing a card for Therm O Web. They so generously sent me a box of crafting supplies and I couldn't wait to create a few things!

I started my card by using the Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheets- Starry Night along with the Brutus Monroe Foil Transfer Sheets- Gold Static and Red Static. I trimmed the toner sheet down to 4.25 x 5.5 and also cut my foil down to the same size. I placed the toner sheet along with the foil sheet inside of a piece of parchment and ran it through my laminator. (I did this twice, once with each color). I then layered my two sheets together so my stars were in both red and gold. I attached the clear toner sheets to a red die cut frame from the Pink and Main Reverse Scallop Rectangle Die Set to create my card front.

Next, I added thin strips of foam adhesive around the backside of my frame to create a little depth for my shaker. I then filled my shaker with Classic Christmas Confetti Mix from Pretty Pink Posh.

I then attached a piece of wood grain patterned paper to close up my shaker.

To finish my card, I used a sentiment from the Taylored Expressions: Simple Strips Christmas set. Fairly simple...but I think it is enough!  I had originally die cut a larger Christmas sentiment but it was too busy. I think these clean and simple sentiment strips from Taylored Expressions are perfect!

I am loving these toner sheets and how easy they are to use with an inexpensive laminator. Have you given them a try? There are such fun prints and patterns, I am hooked!
Enjoy your day,

Greenhouse Society: Royal Jasmine

Technique Tuesday

November 18, 2019

Good Morning and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. I am back today sharing my second card using the Greenhouse Society flower stamp from Technique Tuesday. This month the flower was Royal Jasmine, such a pretty stamp set.

I started my card by stamping the Royal Jasmine flower and sentiment in VersaFine Clair black ink and heat setting it with clear embossing powder. I did all of my stamping directly onto my card panel, keeping my card design fairly flat. Next, I used my Zig Clean Color Pens to watercolor the floral image. I used colors: No 045 Pale Green,  No 028 Pale Pink and No 050 Yellow.

To finish my card, I trimmed down my card panel and added a soft pink scalloped edge before attaching it to a soft gray card use. Lastly, I added a few clear raindrops to my card front for a little added detail.

Technique Tuesday is having their Progressive Sale right now!! Here are the details:

Fa La Llama

Pink & Main

November 17, 2019

Good Morning Friends! Today I am on the Pink and Main Blog sharing a fun and festive Christmas card.

I started my card by stamping the llama from the Fa La Lama Stamp Set in a Copic friendly black ink. I colored the llama with Copic markers, using a variety of traditional Christmas colors. (I do think this llama could also make a really cute birthday card) Next, I used the Fa La Llama Dies to die cut the llama.

For my card layout, I added a strip of the green star paper from the Be Merry Paper Pad to the left side of my A2 card base. I then added a thin strip of red cardstock before adding my white card panel. Next, I stamped my sentiment onto a banner and added it to my card front with some foam adhesive. Lastly, I added my die cut llama to my card front along with a few epoxy dots.

I just love these llamas...they make me smile every time I use them! I hope you enjoyed my card today and I will be back again soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,
Dana
