Growing Garden

Technique Tuesday

April 1, 2019

Hi Friends! Today is Release Day at Technique Tuesday and we are Celebrating with a Blog Hop. You will Love the New Release, so many great new stamps and dies! I hope my card today has you dreaming about Spring.

I started my card my ink blending my background squares and rectangles. I keep my blending sponges in a little dish and for this background I did not add any new ink to my sponges. I just used what was "left" on the sponges from the last time. Super quick and easy. I attached my shapes to my A2 card base in a grid pattern.

I stamped my images from the Growing Garden Stamp Set with a Copic friendly ink. I colored my images with Copic markers and used the coordinating Growing Garden Crafting Dies to cut them out.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment from the Meadow Flower Stamp Set and attached all of my images with foam adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by today. I think my card has me dreaming about our garden...I am ready for Spring!

Have fun on the Blog Hop today! I know each stop will be full of inspiration:

Beautiful Day,

Fresh Peonies

March 30, 2019

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday! I was on the Technique Tuesday Blog last Thursday sharing the Gorgeous Fresh Peonies Stamp Set. I thought I wanted to share my card here too...I hope you don't mind.

I started my card by stamping my Peonies in a watercolor friendly ink. I then used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Watercolor Pens to watercolor my flower image.

Next, I used the Fresh Peonies Coordinating Dies to die cut my Peonies. I set this aside and began working on my card panel.
For my card front, I first created my background. I used Distress Oxide Ink in Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade. I blended the three colors onto my background, spritized my background with a little water and then splattered on a little white paint.

Once this was dry I stamped a sentiment from the Beautiful Narcissus stamp set onto my card front. I love all of the Greenhouse Society stamp sets work together. Lastly, I attached my die cut peony to my card base with foam adhesive to finish my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you Have A Beautiful Day,

Beautiful Butterflies

Pretty Pink Posh

March 29, 2019

Happy Friday Friends! I hope you had a Wonderful week. We are getting ready to spend a few days in DC visiting Meredith (our daughter) and then we are heading to Myrtle Beach- my husband has a meeting and I am going along. Have you ever been to Myrtle Beach? Is there anything I shouldn't looks kind of "touristy" but I am sure I will find something to do.
Today, I am sharing a shaker card using lots of supplies from Pretty Pink Posh.

I started my card by stamping and coloring the butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set. I then used the Beautiful Butterflies Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

For my shaker, I used the Storybook 1 Die. I die cut it from my card panel and attached a piece of acetate behind it to create my window. Next, I used Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry to create my background. I then stamped my sentiment (Hi!) from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set onto my ink blended background. I attached foam adhesive around my card panel and filled it with the Friendship Confetti Mix. Lastly, I attached my window onto my background and added my butterflies.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Do you enjoy making shaker cards? I think they are so fun, though I have a hard time photographing them. Do you have any tips? I would love to hear what you do...I always seem to have a shadow or glare in my photos.

Enjoy your weekend,

Cottontail Cutie

MFT Stamps

March 27, 2019

Good Morning and Welcome! When I saw the new MFT Stamps: Cottontail Cutie Die Set at Butterfly Reflections, Ink I knew I "needed" it for my Easter treats this year.

I started by die cutting my bunnies from cardstock. I used liquid glue to attach all of the little came together very quickly. The dies leave an impression where the layers (example, eyes, face, etc) go so you know you are getting everything in the right place.

For my card, I used patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design: Simply Spring 6x6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn: Mushroom Border Die for my grass. And my frame is from the Pretty Pink Posh: Scallop Frames Die Set. I layered my pieces together and attached my bunny with foam adhesive. I love the bright, fun colors.

For my treat holders, I made a tag out of my bunnies. I filled a pretzel sleeve (from the craft store) with candy and attached my tag to the top.

I will definitely be making a few more of these to hide along with our Easter eggs this year. Do you hide candy and other small things, or just eggs? We hide all kinds of things...then the "big" kids will still hunt!!

Enjoy your day,

Rainbow Flowers

Pretty Pink Posh

March 25, 2019

Hi Friends! You might of seen this card shared on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog last week, but I also wanted to share it on my own blog. For my card, I used the Spring Wreath Stamp Set. While this stamp set has the most Gorgeous Spring Wreath, it also has the most adorable “little extras.” For my card, I am using the little flowers (extras) that are included with the stamp set.

I started my card my stamping my flowers in a single row onto a 1.5 inch piece of white cardstock. I used a random pattern and stamped my flowers with a Copic friendly ink in my MISTI. Next, I colored my flowers with my Copic markers.

Then, I stamped my sentiment and mounted my white cardstock strip onto a piece of black cardstock with foam adhesive. For my card front, I used a piece of rainbow patterned paper cut down a little smaller than my A2 card base.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my card! Make sure you stop by the Pretty Pink Posh Shop and see all the New Release products.

Next, I mounted my die cut candles onto a white rectangle and stamped my sentiment at the bottom. Then, I layered patterned paper from Doodlebug Design to create my card panel. Lastly, I attached my card panel to my A2 card base to finish my card.

I hope you find some time to do a little shopping at Technique Tuesday today. Remember to use the code: HB2019 to save 20%.

Oh Gnome!

Lawn Fawn

March 22, 2019

Happy Friday Friends! I am on Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog today sharing a fun card and tag set using some products from Lawn Fawn.

For my card, I began by creating my background. I used the Lawn Fawn: Mushroom Border Dies for both my row of mushrooms and the grass. I love how both pieces are included with this die set! I mounted these onto a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn: Watercolor Wishes 6x6 Paper Pad. This is the perfect paper pad for looks like you watercolored or ink blended the background, but without all of the work.

For my images, I used the Lawn Fawn: Oh Gnome! Stamp Set. I stamped my images with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. Next, I used the Lawn Fawn: Oh Gnome! Lawn Cuts to die cut all of my images. I attached them to my card front with Foam Adhesive. To finish my card, I attached my card panel onto my A2 card base.

Next, I began working on my tags. I used the Lawn Fawn: Mushroom House Dies...these dies create the cutest little mushroom house!! The dies are the perfect size for a card front, though today I decided to use them to create a few tags. The are so easy to put together with a little Lawn Fawn: Glue Tube. Once assembled, I attached them to a little row of chocolates that I placed into a pretzel bag.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you find a little time to be creative this weekend!

Happy Birthday Technique Tuesday!

March 22, 2019

Happy Friday! There is a Awesome Sale happening at Technique Tuesday for their Virtual Birthday Celebration! The sale starts now and will end on Sunday, March 24 at Midnight PST...So Have Fun Shopping!! Your entire purchase will be 20% off with the code: HB2019

For my card today, I used the Many Candles Die Set to create my row of candles. These dies are so fun, and I love all the different designs/layers you can add to your candles.

For my sentiment strip, I started by die cutting the Pull Strip Die from a piece of white cardstock. I then removed the pull tab and mounted onto a piece of pink cardstock. *I added this step so I would know where to do my stamping and to keep everything lined up. I wanted to make sure my "hidden" sentiment was lined up and straight.

Next, I used the Birthday Borders Stamp Set to stamp my hidden sentiment and my sentiment on the front of my card.

The pull strip allows you to pull the tab and reveal a hidden fun!

Don't for to use the code: HB2019 for 20% off your total purchase at Technique Tuesday this weekend.

I will be back in a bit with my post for Butterfly Reflections, Ink.

March 21, 2019

Good Morning Crafty Friends!! I am stopping by today to share a card using the So Super Stamp Set from the New Release at Reverse Confetti! Have you shopped the New Release? What is your is hard to pick! Though I do love the So Super stamp set!!

I started my card by creating my background. I used Distress Oxide Ink and some Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Storm Cloud on my background. I just kept adding color and water to create my desired background. I set this aside and began working on my card images.

I stamped my images from the So Super Stamp Set and colored them with Copic Markers. Next, I used the So Super Confetti Cuts to die cut all of my images. I then used the Stitched Note & Frames Confetti Cuts to die cut my red frame. This is a great set of frames, I love the width and the stitched detail!

To finish my card, I attached my ink blended background behind my red frame. I attached all of my colored images to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment and attached everything to my A2 card base.
