Hello Friends

Ink To Paper

March 31, 2020

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are doing well and staying healthy. March is finally over, might just be the longest month ever! Hopefully April is full of many Blessings for us all. I know we will get through this... so hang in there my friends. Sending you all big hugs and lots of love. Today, I am sharing one more card using some supplies from the latest release at Ink To Paper.

For my card, I am using the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set. I started by doing all of my die cutting with the Beautiful Bouquet Die Set and the Beautiful Bouquet Background Die Set. Next, I stamped the small little flowers and the stems in New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores and Bright Buttercup Ink.

For my card design, I attached a piece of True Black paper to my card panel. I trimmed that down and mounted onto a Pure Poppy mat. I then added my floral images to my card front. Next, I used the Hello die from the Border Bling: Skinny Vees Frame Die Set. I die cut it from Pure Poppy and White cardstock. I offset the two die cuts to create a shadow and attached them to my card front. Lastly, I added a few sequins to finish my card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Are you still finding time to be creative? I will be back tomorrow with a project for Pretty Pink Posh.
Take Care My Friends!
Enjoy your day,

Happy Birthday!

March 30, 2020

Good Morning Friends! Today, I am over on the Trinity Stamps Blog sharing another project with you all. I hope you all are doing well and staying healthy. I know this is such a stressful time for all of us. If you are like me, you are Thankful for this card making hobby to keep you busy while you are at home.

For my card today, I decided to make a birthday card with the Layered Fireworks Stencil Set. This stencil set comes with two stencils. The stencils include lots of different firework options that can be layered together to create a lot of fun patterns. I started my card by using stencil A and dye ink to create my first layer for my pattern. Next, I used the B stencil and lined it up with my stencil A (pattern) ink to add my second layer. The stencils have the opposite layer etched on them so it is very easy to line everything up. I used post it notes to create a mask so that I made sure I didn't get any "extra" ink on my card front.

Next, I used the small little stars that are included on the B stencil to fill in any open areas on my card panel. Here is my finished my card panel:

For my sentiment, I used the Happy Senti-mini Stamp and Die Set. I die cut the shadow from black cardstock and the top layer from white. Next, I stamped Birthday in VersaMark ink and heat set it with white embossing powder. I die cut my sentiment onto a banner. Lastly, I attached my sentiment to my card panel to finish my card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Have you tried using the Firework Stencil Set? I think the firework patterns create such fun and unique designs, with so many possibilities. I hope you give them a try.
Enjoy your day,

Pink & Main

March 29, 2020

Good Morning Friends! Today, I am on the Pink and Main Blog sharing a card that would be easy to mass produce. I am trying to send out "thinking of you" type mail right now and the Wildflowers Stamp Set is just perfect for this occasion. *This stamp set is part of the New Release and it will be in the online store soon.

I started my card by stamping the Wildflower image in red ink. I used my Misti to get a good impression and even coverage. Next, I stamped it again with VersaMark ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder. I love the little bit of extra shine the clear embossing powder give.

Next, I die cut my card panel and a piece of red cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then mounted my panels onto my A2 card base. I then used the Spring Sentiments Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment onto a piece of red cardstock. I once again heat set the sentiment with white embossing powder and used the Sentiment Strip Dies to cut it out. I attached my sentiment strip to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a few sparkling clear jewels to finish my card.

Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope my card inspired you to create some clean and simple cards that you can create and mail right away.
Take care my friends and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.
Enjoy your day,

Beautiful Bouquet

Ink To Paper

March 27, 2020

Good Morning Friends and Happy Friday! I hope you all are doing well. I am stopping by today with a post that I wrote a few weeks ago using some of the latest release from Ink To Paper. Have you had a chance to purchase something? What was your favorite? I would love to hear.

I started my card by using the Beautiful Bouquet Die Set. I die cut all of the floral images that I would need to make my bouquet. Next, I used the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and stamped all of my floral images in bright springy colors. (Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf and Limeade Ice) I then used the Beautiful Bouquet Background Die. This die is perfect for helping you line everything up and create your bouquet.

To finish my card, I die cut my card panel with the Love To Layer: Notched Die. This die set adds the perfect little detail to your card. I stamped my sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet: Sentiments Mini Stamp Set onto the lower right corner of my panel. Lastly, I attached my Beautiful Bouquet to to my card center. I love how this bouquet fills a card front!

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.
Enjoy your day,

Thank You Card

March 24, 2020

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are doing well. We were suppose to be on vacation this week... Sad to have to cancel so many trips and plans, but thankful to be home and hopefully do our part to stop the spread of this awful virus.

Today, I am on the PoppyStamps Blog sharing a thank you card that uses a stencil from their latest release. I hope you get a chance to stop by their blog. I am sharing lots of tips for using a stencil and masking off different areas to apply multiple colors of ink.

Over the weekend, I had some "extra time" so I decided to create a "bonus" card. This time, instead of doing all of the masking I just used the stencil directly onto my card panel with Distress Oxide Ink. Super quick and easy!

Also, I wanted to mention it is Blog Blitz time at PoppyStamps. Today we are giving away the Colwell Label Set of dies. All you need to do is go to this post on the PoppyStamps Blog and leave a comment.
Enjoy your day and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

A Mother's Love

Ink To Paper

March 23, 2020

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are doing well and had a relaxing weekend at home. Morgan and Ric had to go to Spokane to get her school books, the things she needed from her dorm and her car. Because she was on spring break when all of this started, she didn't have what she needed to be able to finish her semester at home. Also, since she assumed she was going back to school she had only brought a few things home. Glad to have them back home and that task over with.
Today, I am sharing another card that uses a gorgeous stamp set from the latest release at Ink To Paper. The stamp set is called A Mother's Love, it is perfect for Mother's Day though can also be used for many more occasions.

I started my card by stamping my wreath and tulips with the Mother's Love Stamp Set. I used Blueberry Sky, Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado ink. Then, I used the coordinating dies to do all of my die cutting. I love how the wreath includes both the inside and outside piece...adds a lot of options to the set. The die set also includes a few dies that allow you to create greenery or filler for your wreath.

Next, I started working on my card panel. I ran a piece of white cardstock through my die cutting machine with the Border Bling: Embossed Frame Die. I trimmed this piece down and attached it to an Enchanted Evening card mat. Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Just Sentiments: Mother's Day Stamp Set with Enchanted Evening Ink. I then attached my die cut "mom" to my card, to finish my sentiment. *The word Mom is included in the Mother's Love Die Set.

To finish my card, I attached my wreath to card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a few sparkling jewels for a little added detail.
I hope you enjoyed my card today. This is such a versatile set, it will be one I reach for often.
Enjoy your day,

Sending Hugs

PinkFresh Studio

March 22, 2020

Good Morning Friends! How are you all doing? Hanging in there? A couple of days ago, I was having a hard time getting anything done...just not motivated and the uncertainty was getting to me. I knew that wasn't a place I wanted to be for long, so I got out a stamp set and just created some cards for fun. I actually ended up putting them in the mail today, and I hope they bring a smile to a few friend's faces. I have a few local "older" friends that I have been checking in on (through texting) but I thought they could probably use a little "happy mail" too.

I fell in love with the PinkFresh Studio Curvy Floral Vine Set while at Stamping Away a few month ago. I made this card while there:

As soon as I got home, I ordered the set from Butterfly Reflections, Ink. I know Vanessa is staying home and not at the shop right now, but I also know she would greatly appreciate any sort of business you can give her right now. These times are so stressful for all of us, but I am worried about our crafting community and our friends that own small businesses. We need to support them, if we can, so then when all of this is over they are still there for all of us.

My next two cards are very similar, I just changed the colors. In all honesty I could of made this card over and over...it was very relaxing to just stamp.

For my sentiment, I used the Phrase Builder Sending Die Set. This is such a great set of dies. I love the font and the shadow! Don't you just love that glittered cardstock? It is from Memory Box, Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad.

On this card, I just rotated my floral vines and stamped my flowers in shades of orange. For my sentiment, I used the Memory Box, Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pad. This glittered cardstock cuts like a dream!  I highly recommend it.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to pull out some stamps and create a few cards just for fun. I also plan to send out more "happy mail" over the next few weeks. I think it is a great way to put a smile on someone's face. If you would like to receive a card from me, leave me your address...either here in the comments or through my email (danakirby4@gmail.com), and I will get one off to you soon!
Take Care My Friends!
Enjoy your day,

Happy 6th Birthday

Pink & Main

March 21 2020

Good Morning!! Today we are celebrating the 6th Birthday of Pink & Main!! Pink and Main has become one of my favorite companies and I am honored to help them Celebrate! Michelle, the owner is one of nicest and most generous business owners. It has been a pleasure to be on her Design Team and help to promote her products. For their Birthday they are having an Instagram Hop. All you have to do is go to my Instagram page and comment on this photo for a chance to win a Surprise Package from Pink & Main. Super Fun and Easy. The winner will be announced in the afternoon on March 24th.

I started my card by creating my background. I used the new Petite Petals Stencil along with Distress Oxide Ink in Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Mowed Lawn.

I used Post-It Tape for my masking. I attached the tape directly to the stencil to mask off the row I was working on and applied my ink with a finger dauber.

Next, I used the Celebrate Dies and die cut the word from white cardstock and the shadow from black cardstock. I then added ink to the white die cut.

I attached my two die cuts together with a liquid adhesive. I then stamped my sentiment from the Celebrate Stamp Set onto a banner strip. I attached my sentiments to my card front with foam adhesive.

To finish my card, I added a few clear sequins to my card front. Lastly, I attached everything to an A2 card base.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you get a chance to stop by Instagram and join in the Fun! Make sure you wish Pink & Main a Happy Birthday!!
Enjoy your day,

New Release!

March 20, 2020

Good Morning Friends! Today I am back sharing a card that uses lots of products from the New Release at Pretty Pink Posh!! This release is full of everything Spring, Easter, Baby and a whole lot more! So many great new stamps, dies and stencils, I can't wait to share all of my projects with you all.
Today, I thought I would start with an Easter card...

For my card, I am using the Spring Days Stamp Set. This is such a great set with the cutest images for both Spring and Easter. I started by stamping the eggs and coloring them with Copic markers. I then used the Spring Days Die Set to die cut my frames.

For my card layout, I used Distress Oxide Ink to color all of my pieces. For my background I used Peacock Feather. My scalloped frames used, Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron with a little Mowed Lawn. For my middle panel I used Picked Raspberry. Next, I stamped my Happy Easter sentiment from the Easter Eggs Stamp Set onto my die cut square. I then ink blended Tumbled Glass Ink onto the square.

Next, I began assembling my card. I used the Eyelet Border Dies to die cut the gorgeous eyelet border from white cardstock. You will LOVE this set of dies, they add just the perfect detail to your cards and craft projects. I attached this behind my pink strip and layered my scalloped frames onto my card panel. Lastly, I attached everything to my turquoise ink blended background and then onto my A2 card base to finish my card.
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you get a chance to stop by the Pretty Pink Posh website and do a little shopping!! The New Release is definitely one you will not want to miss.
I hope you all are doing well and staying healthy. Take care my friends.

Hats Off!

Ink To Paper

March 18, 2020

Good Morning Friends! How are you all doing? Are you hanging in there? I am back today with a graduation card using the new Hats Off Stamp Set from Ink to Paper. In my opinion, it is never too early to create a few graduation cards. It seems that by the time graduation comes around, I am always scrambling to get my cards created.

I started my card by stamping my arms and hands across the bottom of my card panel. I used a variety of kraft and brown inks for my stamping. Next, I used the Hats Off Dies and die cut my graduation hats. I then used my Misti and stamped the hats in a rainbow of colors.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment above my hands and then attached all of the graduation hats across the top of my card panel. Such a fun card to create...definitely one I will be creating again!

This is such a great set because there are so many options and I love the fact that you can customize your card with the graduates school colors. I will be back soon showing you more ideas for this set...it is one that I will be using a lot!
Enjoy your day,
