Spooky Village

Lawn Fawn

August 31, 2019

Good Morning and Happy Weekend! I hope you all have something fun planned, especially if you have a Three Day Weekend! We are staying home this weekend...kind of nice to be home with nothing planned. Today I have a couple of Fun shaker tags for the Lawn Fawn Challenge: Something See Through. These will be just perfect to tie onto little treat bags for Halloween.

I started my tags by stamping the Spooky Village images and coloring them with my Copic Markers. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

They are just the cutest!! The little trick-or-treaters are my favorite! Next, I began working on my shakers.

For my shakers, I used the How You Bean? Stamp Set along with the How You Bean? Shaker Add On Die Set. These sets work so well together and really make an easy shaker card or tag.

I filled my shakers with small stars from  The Fall Confetti Bundle from Pretty Pink Posh.

I think these little houses look so cute in the jars, reminds me of a snow globe. Thanks for joining me today! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions...I love reading them and I always do my best to respond.

Pretty Pink Posh

Halloween Fun

August 30, 2019

Happy Friday Friends! I hope you all had a Great week. I am back today with a fun Halloween card for you all. I am using one of the new stencils from Pretty Pink Posh. Have you placed your order yet for the New Release? I hope you added the stencils...they are definite Must Haves!

These ghosts just make me smile! I began my card by using the new Brush Strokes Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I added Transfer Gel from Therm O Web to my stencil and let it dry.

Once it was dry I used my laminator and added Deco Foil Flock in White.  Such a fun technique and perfect for these little ghosts. Next, I added little wiggle eyes to all of my ghosts.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment from the Boo Stamp Set onto a thin orange strip of cardstock. I then mounted my card panel onto an orange mat before attaching everything to a gray A2 card base.

I hope I inspired you to try a new technique with your stencils. I might have to add foil next...
Now for a Fun Sale!! Pretty Pink Posh is having a Labor Day Sale this weekend!! All Stamps and Dies are 20%-YEAH!! HAPPY SHOPPING! The code is: laborday19.

Enjoy your day,

Thinking of You

Pink & Main

August 28, 2019

Good Morning! I hope you all are having a Great week!! I am getting use to the quiet again during the day now that Morgan is back at school...I sure do miss her! She helped with Freshman Orientation over the weekend and started her new semester yesterday. I sure hope she has great school year!

Today, I am sharing an "extra" card that I made for Pink & Main. I wanted to try this technique with the new sentiment sets that were just released so I thought I would share it here too. I started by lining up all of the sentiments from the Just Because Stamp Set onto the lid of my MISTI (this took awhile and was definitely the most tedious part). I then stamped them onto my aqua blue cardstock...I moved my paper up and down to cover my panel without moving the sentiment stamps. Once my stamping was done I trimmed down my panel and mounted it onto a striped piece of patterned paper from the Summer Splash Paper Pad.

Next, I stamped the large Thinking of You sentiment from the Just Because stamp set onto a white strip of cardstock. I then mounted this onto a strip of Ice Rink Sparkle Sheet before attaching it to my card front.

I realize there are some "mistakes" in my stamping, but I still wanted to share this card with all of you. I think this technique is a great way to use the new sentiment sets from Pink & Main. I will definitely be trying it again...

Thanks for the visit!
Enjoy your day,
Dana

Bountiful Wreath

The Greetery

August 27, 2019

Good Morning Friends! I received my order from the The Greetery yesterday and I couldn't wait to stamp up the Bountiful Wreath Set...this is probably the quickest I have ever used a new stamp set and posted it. Though, I couldn't wait to share it with you all!

This stamp set has five layers, but with the included stamping guide and a MISTI it was fairly easy to line up.

For my first card, I stamped directly onto my card panel keeping everything flat (except my sentiment). One tip that I found helpful was to use the negative (outside edge) of the die cut to help keep things lined up on my card panel. I used my magnets to hold the negative die cut onto my card panel in my MISTI, and then did my stamping. Once my stamping was finished I just removed the die cut.

For my next card, I did all of my stamping onto my die cut. I once again used the negative edge as my guide in my MISTI to keep everything lined up.

Once my stamping was finished, I attached the negative die cut to my card panel. I then inlaid the stamped wreath back into the die cut with foam adhesive for some added dimension.

I used Gina K and PTI ink for all of my stamping. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. It is getting late, but I couldn't wait to share my card with all of you! You will definitely want this stamp set...I am in love with it!!

Enjoy your day,
Dana

Hello Friends!

Technique Tuesday

August 26, 2019

Good Morning and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a Wonderful weekend and are ready to start a new week! Our house is quiet again, Morgan went back to school last week :( Hard to believe that summer is over...I sure do miss her when she is gone. Although it is hard to have her leave home, I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished. It isn't easy being a young adult in today's world.
Today for my card, I am using the little "extra" stamps that are sometimes included in a set.

I started my card by placing the flowers and leaf image from the Tommy and Polly Tropical Birds Stamp Set onto a clear block and stamping it in a random pattern onto my card panel.

Next, I colored the images with Copic markers and trimmed down my panel.

Then, I die cut the Say It Hello Die from coordinating cardstock and mounted it to the front of my card with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! It was fairly quick to make, and I think now I will stamp a second panel and use bright colors for my coloring. What do you think? I hope I inspired you to use your little "extra" stamps that are included with your sets.

Next, I used the Special Day Stamp Set and the new Sentiment Strip Dies for my sentiment. I love these sentiments and dies, every occasion is covered!

Pretty Pink Posh

Blog Hop

August 23, 2019

Hi Friends and Happy Friday!! I am so excited to be participating in the Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop! There is a New Release full of Amazing new stamps, dies, stencils and jewels- perfect for Fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving!! You are going to want it all. Today, I am sharing two Halloween cards that use lots of the new supplies.

I started my cards by creating my background. I used the images from the Boo Stamp Set, stamping them in a random pattern onto my card panel. I then used my Copic markers to color them.

Once, my background was colored I used the Boo Die Set to die cut the word Boo from the center of my panel. I set the letters aside and began working on my first card.

I used the Spider Web Stencil to create my background for my first card. You are going to Need the stencils from this release!! They are Amazing! Next, I used my die cut panel to create my shaker. I added acetate to my windows and filled my shaker with the Fall Confetti Bundle.

Once I finished my shaker, I stamped my sentiment from the Boo Stamp Set onto a thin strip of orange cardstock and attached it to the bottom of my card panel. Lastly, I attached everything to my A2 card base.

For my next card, I used the letters that I cut out of the background I created.

I attached the letters to craft foam and attached them to my card panel. Next, I stamped and colored the cute little witch from the Trick or Treat Friends Stamp Set. I then used the coordinating Dies to cut everything out.

To finish my card, I once again stamped my sentiment from the Boo Stamp Set onto a thin strip of cardstock. Lastly, I attached everything to my A2 card base.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today. I can't wait to see what everyone has created for the Blog Hop! I know there will be some Wonderful projects full of Inspiration.

The Greetery

August 21, 2019

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are having a Wonderful week. We have been up in Spokane the past few days, getting Morgan moved back into school and ready for her sophomore year of college!! Today, I am sharing a few card that use some products from The Greetery. Like I mentioned before, I am trying to use some stamp sets that I bought and haven't yet used...these are some of those.

Betsy (the owner of The Greetery) is a true artist. Her stamp sets are just amazing, they are timeless and every detail is perfect. If you haven't followed her new stamp shop I highly recommend it. For my cards today, I began by doing a lot of stamping. I just stamped without any idea of a layout. Here is a pile of my stamped images.

For my birds, I used the Robin & Wren Stamp and Die Set. And for my branches, I used the Blooming Branch Stamp and Die Set. I just mixed and matched colors. I think these birds would also be really pretty in some bright "summery" colors, I will try that next.

For my card set, I kept the layout pretty much the same. The card design is clean and simple, I let the gorgeous stamped images be the focus.

I stamped my sentiment from the Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You Stamp Set onto the bottom right corner. This is such a great set of sentiments, it is so easy to mix and match to create a sentiment perfect for so many occasions. There is also a Birthday set that is on my list.

Once I stamped my sentiment, I added my branch and birds to my card front with foam adhesive.

I think that little bit of dimension is a nice touch to a clean and simple card.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your day,
Dana
