Taylored Expressions

Frosty Kit

August 5, 2020

Good Morning Friends! Is it too early to share a few Christmas cards? I am stopping by today with a couple of card that uses the new Frosty Kit from Taylored Expressions. This is such a fun kit, and everything you need to get started on your Christmas cards is included.

I started both of my cards by stamping the Frosty Background stamp onto my card panels. These little snowman faces just make me smile. I then used the Frosty stencil to add snowflakes to the card panels. The stencil fits perfectly around the snowmen's head and is very easy to line up. There is also a small clear stamp set included for adding color to you hats, nose, etc.

On my first card, I stamped my sentiment with the Winter Wishes stamp set onto a cardstock strip. I then used the Frosty's Head and Body dies to die cut my snowman. I layered everything onto a vellum circle before attaching it to my card panel.

My next card uses a card panel that I stamped on green cardstock with green ink. I then once again used the Winter Wishes set to stamp my sentiment. This time I stamped it onto a the Sentiment Strip Duo die that is also included in the kit. Once I had my snowman attached to my card, I added a few of the snowflakes (included in the kit) to my card panel.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you inspired you to give the Frosty Kit a try. There are so many possibilities with this kit and I love how everything is included.

Enjoy your day,

Rainbow Builder

August 3, 2020

Hi Friends! Today I am on the Trinity Stamps Blog sharing sharing a card that uses the Slimline Series: Rainbow Builder Die Set. This is such an amazing die and I love how it creates the perfect rainbow for a slimline card!

I started my card by running the Rainbow Builder Die through my die cutting machine with white cardstock (rainbow and cloud border). I then added Distress Oxide Ink to each of the bands. The colors I used were: Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet.

Next, I used the Stitched Panel Die to die cut my card panel. I ink blended the  panel with Salty Ocean Ink. I then attached my rainbow and clouds to the panel. Lastly, I used the Scripty Birthday Die for my sentiment. I die cut it from a soft gray and a black piece of cardstock. I attached the two pieces together and off-set the black piece a little to give the illusion of a shadow. This sentiment is the perfect size for a slimline card.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my card and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,

Pretty Pink Posh

Bold Blooms

August 1, 2020

Can you believe it is August? I am actually not sad that another month has come and gone. I am ready for 2020 to be over in all honesty. How about you? Are you ready for this year to be over? It is hard to comprehend all that has gone on the past six months or so. Some days are so long...
Anyways, enough of that! It is a new month and I am stopping by to share a card for Pretty Pink Posh.

For my card today, I pulled out the Bold Blooms Stamp Set. This is an older small set, but definitely a fun one! I stamped the images in a random pattern with the the new Concord & 9th ink.  I have been wanting to give the ink cubes a try, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. They are a foam style pad, which I had not used often but they stamp like a dream. No more heavy tapping like you have to do with the felt pads. They require a light touch and you get the perfect amount of ink. I also used the small heart in the Bee Friends set to fill in some of my empty spaces on my panel.

Once my panel was finished I trimmed it down and attached it to a white cardstock mat. Next, I used the smallest Stitched Strips Die and die cut strips in coordinating colors. Once my strips were attached to my panel I stamped my sentiment. For my sentiment, I used the Everyday Greeting Stamp Set. This is such a great set with sentiments for lots of occasions and I love the font too.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my card. Have a great weekend and I will be back soon with another project to share.

Enjoy your day,

New Release

July 31, 2020

Hi Friends! Today there is a New Release at Trinity Stamps and you are not going to want to miss it! To celebrate we are having an Instagram Hop. You can find all of the hop details on Instagram but I also wanted to share my card here on my blog.

For my card, I am using the new Blooming Bunch Set. This stamp is so pretty and fun to use. I began by stamping it in black VersaFine ink and heat setting it with clear embossing powder. I then used my Zig watercolor markers to color it. Once it was dry, I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

Next, I added some black paint splatters to my card panel and my floral image. Once this was dry, I attached it to a soft aqua card mat before attaching it to my A2 card base. To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment from the A Sentiment For (almost) Everything Stamp Set and added a few Melted Icicles Confetti pieces.

Thanks for joining me today. Remember to stop by Instagram to find all of the Hop details and information.

Enjoy your day,

The Greetery

July 29, 2020

Good Morning Friends and Welcome Back! Today I am sharing another card using some of my new stamps and dies and got from The Greetery's latest release. I have enjoyed having a little "extra time" lately and being able to use some of the new things I have purchased.

I started my card by doing all of my die cutting and then stamping. I used the Sprinkled With Kindness set to create my adorable watering can. For the flowers I used Budding Beauties Summer and the Budding Beauties Spring Set

For my card layout, I used the Crimped Frame Die to create my card panel. I then attached my watering can and floral sprigs to my card panel with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a few clear jewels to finish my card.

For my sentiment, I used the Sprinkled With Kindness Stamp Set. I stamped my sentiment onto the inside of my card as I had a hard time deciding on the placement on the front of my card. What do you think? I don't always stamp inside my cards, but for this one I think it works perfectly.

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back on Friday with the New Release from Trinity Stamps. You are going to love it!

Enjoy your day,

Peachy Keen

The Greetery

July 25, 2020

Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I have been having fun with the new Print Shop Kit: Peachy Keen from The Greetery. Just like Betsy's other kits, every last detail is thought of and perfectly designed. I used the stamp and stencil set for all of three of my backgrounds and card panels today.

For my first card, I used the Just Peachy Sentiments and Die Set for my sentiment. Once my card was finished I also added a few clear sequins to my card panel.

For my next card, I cut my panel on a diagonal and then attached it to my A2 card base. For my sentiment, I used the Written in Ribbon Set

On my third card, I trimmed the top off my panel. I then stamped my sentiment from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set directly onto my card base.

Thanks for joining me today. Please feel free to ask any questions. Betsy has great information and details on using the kit on her blog, also the guide included in the kit is very easy to follow.

Enjoy your day,

Ink To Paper

July 26, 2020

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I am stopping by today to share a card that uses some amazing dies from the latest release at Ink To Paper.

I started my card by die cutting my flowers from the Into The Blooms Die Set and my bird from the Feathered Friends 2 Die Set from watercolor paper. I then used my Altenew watercolor set and quickly added color to each of the pieces. Once they were dry, I splattered a little white paint onto the die cuts.

Next, I used the Border Bling: Skinny Diagonals Frame Die to die cut my frame from white cardstock. I then attached the frame to a Weathervane cardstock base. For my sentiment, I used the Just Sentiments: Just Because Mini Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat set it with white embossing powder. Lastly, I layered my die cut pieces together and attached them to my card panel to finish my card.

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,

Pink & Main

July 24, 2020

Hi Friends and Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week and are ready for the weekend! Today I am on the Pink & Main Blog sharing a card that uses a few supplies from the New Release along with a few other favorites.

For my card today, I am using the Rose Garden Layering Stencil along with the new Mini Ergonomic Blender Brush. I am in love with this new size, it is perfect and so easy to use. It makes blending a breeze.

This is such a fun stencil set. There are three stencils included in the set. Here I laid the first stencil onto my panel and quickly blended my panel with a soft yellow ink. Do you see the pencil lines I added to my panel? Those cut outs are on each of the stencils so it is easy to line everything up.

Next, I lined my second stencil up (using the pencil marks as my guide) and added a light green ink to my panel to create my leaves.

Lastly, I added the third and final stencil and color to my card panel.

To finish my card, I ran my panel through my die cutting machine with the Layered Rectangles A2 Die. I then cut my panel and attached it to a green cardstock mat. Lastly, I used the Grateful Greetings Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment into the opening.

Thanks for joining me today. I am sad to say that this will be my last post as a design team member for Pink & Main. At this time, I have decided to step down from doing a weekly post and from their team. I can't thank everyone at Pink & Main enough. Michelle (the owner) is one of the kindest and most generous persons I have had the pleasure to work with. Yolie (the DT coordinator) was also so supportive and did a wonderful job of keeping us all organized. I also want to thank all of you who have left comments and support during my time on their team. Pink & Main has been a great company to work for and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity they have given me. Thank You!

Enjoy your day and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Ink To Paper

July 23, 2020

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are doing well. I am stopping by today with a couple of cards that use the Graceful Wings Set from Ink To Paper.

Isn't this butterfly so pretty? I love how you can add different colors for the flowers in a few easy steps. The stamp is so easy to line up and forgiving.

On my first card, I created my background with the Herringbone Cover Plate. I am in love with this die, I can't wait to use it with fall colors! I inlaid a few die cut pieces back into the die to give it a little interest.

To finish my card, I attached my butterfly to a vellum circle that I had die cut with the Scalloped Circle Die. Lastly, I used the Here's To You stamp set to stamp my sentiment.

Colors used (ink and paper): Weathervane, Green Parakeet, Raspberry Fizz and Hawaiian Shoes

Here is a list of supplies for my second card:
Colors Used (ink and paper): Weathervane, Limeade Ice, Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist

Hi Friends! I hope you all doing well and your week is off to a great start. Today I am on the Trinity Stamps Blog sharing a card that uses
the new Shark Bait Set. Such a fun set! Let's get started...

I started my card by creating my background. I used one of the A-2 Foundations Rectangle Stencilalong with Blending Brush. I laid the stencil onto my card panel and added Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass. The stencil makes a perfect rectangle and is easy to line up because of the etched lines.

To finish my card, I attached my images and sentiment to my card panel with foam adhesive. Lastly, I mounted my panel onto a yellow card mat before attaching everything to an A2 card base.

I hope you liked my card today. This is such a fun set with lots of possibilities. Thanks for joining me and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.
