Lots of Love

Lawn Fawn

January 31, 2019

Hi Crafty Friends!! Today, I have a set of Valentine Shaker Tags for the Lawn Fawnatics: Lots of Love Challenge. I have been wanting to make a few more treat holders for Valentine's Day and this seemed like the perfect time!!

I started my tags by stamping the Lawn Fawn: How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-On stamp in a Copic friendly ink. I also added the words to my hearts at this time. Next, I used Copic Markers and colored all of the hearts in soft pastel colors...this might of led me to place an order for a few more Copic Markers in soft colors. Next, I die cut the heart image and set it aside.

For my jars, I used the Lawn Fawn: How You Bean? stamp set. I stamped my jar image and then used the Shaker Add-On die to cut it out. At this time, I also die cut my jar frames from fun foam for my shaker.

Next, I used the solid jar image to die cut my back panel and my acetate for the window. I stacked my fun foam frames onto by back panel and filled my opening with clear sequins. I covered the opening with the acetate and then I added my Jar image on top.

I filled clear plastic (pretzel) bags with conversation hearts and tied a ribbon around the top. Lastly, I attached my shaker jar to my ribbon to finish my treat bag!

Thanks for the visit!! I sure hope you enjoyed my little treats today!

Pretty Pink Posh

Crocus Flowers

January 29, 22018

Good Morning Friends!! I am back today with a card using the gorgeous Crocus Flowers stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh.

I started my card by creating my Crocus flowers. I stamped them with Gina K Amalgam Ink and then used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to watercolor them. Next, I used the Crocus Flowers Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Such a pretty little pile of flowers!

For my background, I ink blended Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink onto my card panel. I spritzed it with water and set it aside to dry.

Next, I used the Love Shaker Die. I die cut it out of my card panel and again out of white cardstock. I attached my ink blended background to my card base and inlaid my Love die cut back into my panel.

To finish my card, I arranged my flowers along the bottom. Lastly, I added some Sugar Plum Jewels for some added detail. What is a card without a little sparkle?

MFT Stamps

Sketch Challenge

January 28, 2019

Happy Monday Friends!! It is another new week and I am back today with a card using the Cutieasaurus stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I used the MFT Stamps: Sketch Challenge for my card's inspiration.
I started by stamping, coloring with Copic markers, and die cutting all my images.

For my card front, I die cut a circle out of my Kraft card panel with the MFT Stamps Stitched Circle Stax. I attached my circle back into my opening with foam adhesive. Next, I added a 1 inch strip of patterned paper (from the Sweet Stack Paper Pad) down the side of my card front. I stamped my sentiment on a banner and added it to my card front along with my images. Everything is attached with foam adhesive.

Will you be making Valentine's Day cards this year? I need to get mine in the mail this next week!!

Valentine Wishes

MFT Stamps

January 27, 2018

Good Morning! I hope you are having a Wonderful weekend. I am up on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog today with a Valentine's Day card using a stencil and stamp set from MFT Stamps.

Let's get started, shall we? I started my card by ink blending my background with Ranger Distress Oxide Ink. I used Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet.

Next, I layed the MFT Stamps: Lots of Heart Stencil over my ink blended background.

Then, I added the same three colors of ink over the stencil, adding my hearts to my background. Next, I misted my background with water.

I let my background dry for a few minutes, and then I added Translucent Embossing Pastel over my stencil.

While my background was still wet, I removed the stencil and added Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter in Ice White. This gave my background amazing sparkle and shine!! Perfect for Valentine's Day.

For my sentiment, I used the MFT Stamps: Valentine Wishes Stamp Set. I kept my sentiment rather simple, letting my background be the star!

I hope you find the time to give this technique a try!! It really makes a pretty background. I love using the embossing paste and glitter with a cloud stencil too...there are so many possibilities.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Dana

Sweet Friends

Lawn Fawn

January 26, 2019

Happy Weekend Friends! I am stopping by today with a card for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Lots of Love. I have been wanting to try a slimline card for awhile, and today's card seemed like the perfect opportunity! My card measures 3.5 x 8.5, so it will fit into a standard sized business envelope.

I started my card by creating my background. I used the Nuvo Shimmer Powders in Cherry Bomb, Atlantis Burst and Violet Brocade. I really wish you could see the background in "real life." It has the perfect amount of shimmer and sparkle...so pretty! I will try to add some pictures to my Instagram story later today and see if I can get a close up for you. Here is what my background looked like completed:

For my images, I used the Lawn Fawn: Sweet Friends stamp and die set. I stamped, colored with Copics, and die cut a variety of "sweets." Next, I used the Lawn Fawn stamp and die set: Happy, Happy Add-On for my sentiment.

I trimmed my card front down to 3 x 8 inches and mounted it onto a piece of light gray cardstock. Next, I attached all of my images with foam adhesive. Lastly, I attached my card panel to my card base.
I almost always make A2 cards, so this was definitely a fun card size that I will use again! Have you given other card sizes a try?

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Lawn Fawn- Sweet Friends & Happy, Happy Add-On
Dies: Lawn Fawn- Sweet Friends & Happy, Happy Add-On
Other: Nuvo Shimmer Powders

I will be back tomorrow with a card for Butterfly Reflections, Ink.
Enjoy your day,

January 25, 2019

Hello Crafty Friends! I hope you all had a Wonderful week! I am up on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog with a Valentine Card using lots of fun products from Reverse Confetti.

I started my card by creating an Alcohol Ink background with Ranger Alcohol Ink and Ranger Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper. The three colors I used were: Flamingo, Poppyfield, and a little Wild Plum. Any reds and pinks would be perfect for a Valentine day card!!

Next, I used the Reverse Confetti: All Heart Cover Panel Confetti Cuts Die. I cut it out of white cardstock and then ran it back through my die cutting machine with the (alcohol ink) Yupo paper. I attached the white panel to my A2 card base with Lawn Fawn: Glue Tube and then inlaid some alcohol ink hearts back into my panel in a random pattern.

For my images, I used the Reverse Confetti: Mouse Mail Stamp Set. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. Then, I used the Reverse Confetti: Mouse Mail Confetti Cuts Dies to cut out my images.

Next, I used the Reverse Confetti: Heart Filled Sentiments Stamp Set for my sentiment. I also die cut the heart strip from the Reverse Confetti: Love Note Confetti Cuts Die Set to attach above my sentiment. I attached everything to a Vellum circle with Foam Adhesive before attaching it to my card front.

Lawn Fawn: Happy Little Critters

January 20, 2019

Hello Friends! I hope you are having a Wonderful weekend!! I waited until the last minute to create my card for the Lawn Fawnatics: Happy Little Critters Challenge...but better late than never, right? I couldn't let a Lawn Fawn critter challenge pass and not participate.

For my cards, I did a lot of die cutting. I started by creating my critters with the Lawn Fawn: Woodland Critter Huggers. I also used the Winter Add-On die set to give my critters hats, scarves, mittens, etc. I love how the add-on set can be used at Christmas, but also be used to give your critters a "winter feel" too.

Next, I used the Lawn Fawn Polka Heart Backdrop die to create my card panel. I then used the Simple Stitched Hillside Border die to create the hillside (ground). I finished my die cutting by using the You're Sweet Line Border for my sentiment.

Lastly, I used the Lawn Fawn: Sweet Friends stamp and die set to create my little treats for my critters to hold. I attached everything onto my A2 card base and used foam adhesive to pop up the critters. So Sweet!! I hope you enjoyed my cards today!
Please feel free to leave any questions! I am happy to answer them!!
