The Greetery
Garden Variety
Hi friends and welcome back to day 2 of the new product introductions for The Greetery. Today we are using a new stamp, stencil and die set, a stencil and die set and a few new stand along dies too. You can find all of the new product information on The Greetery Blog. I have three cards to share today so let's get started...
For my first card I used a few of the new die sets. I started my card by making the floral stems with the new BotaniCuts Bluebells and Lavender sets. These go together just like the Pussy Willow dies from the last release. I ink blended the pieces and then attached the pieces together with a little liquid glue.
Next, I stamped a piece of cardstock with the new Seed Catalog Background stamp. I then used the new It's A Wrap Posy Pocket die to create my wrap. This die will be available in two sizes. For my card today I used the larger size. These dies go together very easily by just adhering the front sections to the flaps on the back piece. The die is designed in such a way that if you cut it from a pattern, once assembled, the pattern will be oriented correctly and look like it was folder with a single sheet, so smart!
Lastly, I attached my wrap to a mini slimline panel that had been ink blended with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink. To finish my card, I used the Opposites Attract set for my sentiment.
Aren't these garden gloves just the cutest? I created them with the new Garden Gear: Gloves stencil and die set. This is a four pack of stencils that are so easy to use. The outside edge of the gloves are etched on the stencil to help keep everything lined up and straight. I added dye ink to each of the stencils and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. There is even a little heart tag that can be attached to the edge of the gloves, so sweet!
The garden gloves are so fun on their own, but I decided to add some florals sticking out of the top. I used the BotaniCuts Wildflowers Mix and the new Plucked die set to create my flowers. The top of the gloves has a slit so it's very easy to slide flowers into the opening. I then attached my garden gloves to a card panel that had been die cut with the Crimped Frame die. Lastly, I used the Springtime stamp set for my sentiment.
My last card for today uses the new In Spades stamp, stencil and die set. This set has two different stencils so you can create two different floral designs on your garden tools. I started by using the stencils first and then using the coordinating stamp set to add the detail. Everything is once again labeled and so easy to line up and use. Once I made my tools I attached them to my card panel to finish my card. There are so. many possibilities with this set. I can't wait to have more time to use it again.
