Hero Arts: Candy Cane Swag

Hi crafty friends! Today I am back on The Foiled Fox Blog with a Christmas card that uses the Candy Cane Swag set from Hero Arts. This set includes two candy canes, a beautiful bow and some greenery that can be used as accents. It's the perfect set to do some "traditional" stamping with, you will love it!

I started my card by using the Candy Cane Swag stamp & cut set to stamp and die cut my images. I used Concord & 9th ink in Pink Lemonade, Poppy, Sprout, Parsley, Aqua Sky and Tidepool for all of my stamping. I then mounted my candy canes and bow onto an oval that I created with the Love to Layer: Oval dies. Next, I tucked in the greenery behind the candy canes to create my arrangement. 

For my card panel, I used the Layered Candy Cane stencils.  I used Pink Lemonade ink for the base of the candy canes (stencil 1) and then I used Poppy ink for the stripes (stencil 2). Once my panel was finished I trimmed it down and added a few splatters with Pink Lemonade ink for a little added interest. For my sentiment, I used the Winter Greetings set. I stamped my sentiment with Poppy ink and used the coordinating Winter Greetings dies to cut it out. I also cut out a second sentiment from Poppy cardstock to create a shadow. Lastly, I attached everything to my card panel with liquid glue and foam adhesive.
