Papertrey Ink

New Release Countdown: Day 3

Hi friends and welcome back to day 3 of the new release countdown for Papertrey Ink. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. We went are up in Spokane for a few days visiting Morgan. It's hard to believe that she is a senior and this will be her last year living there... so many changes will be coming within the next year as she decides where she wants to live and work.

Let's get back to the release... I know you are going to love today's products!

How cute is this mitten? It's part of the new set, Go To Gift Card Holder: Mitten, and I am in Love with everything about it!!

This is a large set of stamps and dies that make a mitten and have tons of possibilities for add on pieces and decorations. There are so many different ways you can use this set. For my first mitten I used the candy cane and holly included in the set. I added some glitter to my die cuts and then used some strong adhesive to hold everything together.

When assembling your mitten you will want to die cut two of them. Then, add some adhesive around the edges (not at the top as that is where the gift card slides in) to attach the front and back mitten together  The top part of the mitten slides off and you can slide a gift card into the cuff, so clever and fun!!

My next mitten was made the same way as above. Though this time I used a set of stacked snowflakes, a poinsettia and a candy cane to decorate my mitten.

Once again the top cuff can slide on and off to add a gift card.

If you choose to not make a pocket the mitten will also make a really fun tag or a shaped card too!!

My next card uses the new Grand Christmas Sentiments set. I love these sentiments!! There are four sentiments included in the set and they are all amazing. The size, font and scale is just perfect for card making or tags. I die cut the sentiment and then lined the negative up with my MISTI to do my stamping. I knew this way I would get a good impression and everything would line up perfectly.

For my background, I ink blended my card panel with Blueberry Sky ink. Then I added a few snowflakes that have been die cut with the Snowflake dies for some added interest. Next, I added a frame that had been die cut with the Stitched Frame die to finish my panel.

To finish my card, I added some holly that I die cut with the Go To Gift Card Holder: Mitten dies. Lastly, I stamped the new Feathered Friends 16 bird and attached him to the bottom of my card.

Thanks for joining me today and I will be back tomorrow with day 4 of the countdown.

Enjoy your day,
