Pretty Pink Posh

It's Party Time

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you all are doing well. We just got back home from an amazing trip to Italy. Ric had a meeting in Lake Como so I was able to go with him and enjoy a beautiful part of the country. We had a wonderful time and I hope to go back sometime and explore more of that area. Sometimes we stay longer on these trips to explore on our own but we needed to get back home because Meredith gets married next weekend!!! We head to DC next week. I can't believe she will be married next Saturday! I honestly don't have time to be tired :) or at least that is what I am telling myself.

Okay... enough rambling and back to my card. For my card today I created a fun shaker card that uses some dies from Pretty Pink Posh! I love the Star Cover Plate die. It's makes the perfect clean and simple card but, also works great to use for a shaker card too.

I started my card by making my card panel. I used Distress Oxide ink (Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet) and blended my panel. I then splattered the panel with some white paint and water and set it aside to dry.

Next, I used the Star Cover Plate die to create my card panel. I backed the panel with acetate and added foam adhesive around the edges to make my shaker. I filled the shaker with the Over the Rainbow mix and attached it to my ink blended panel. I then used the Party Hats dies to create my coordinating party hat. Lastly, I used the Sentiment Strips: Birthday set for my sentiment.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my card. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,
