Good Morning Friends! I hope you all are doing well and ready for the last weekend before Christmas...this month has flown by! Today I am sharing a set of card that would make a perfect little gift. I chose to make a set of Birthday cards, but it would be very easy to change the sentiment to whatever occasion you needed.
My cards today are inspired by Carly Tee Minner... I am a huge fan of her card designs and she made a similar card awhile back and I had to give it a try. Thanks Carly for the Inspiration!
I kept my cards flat, clean and simple, perfect for mailing or for making multiples.
I started my card by using the Taylored Expressions Making Stencils in Oval. I centered my stencil onto my card front, there are raised edges to help you keep everything centered (so smart and easy to use). I added a little Purple Tape to the back to hold my paper in place and used my Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes to add dye ink to my card panel. I chose colors that would compliment each other and blend easily.
Next, I used the Bouquet Bowl Stamp Set to stamp my image onto my card front. I chose an ink that was a little darker than my ink blending. Using my Misti I was able to get a good impression and then restamp my image in VersaMark ink. Once my stamping was finished I heat set clear embossing powder over my images to give them a little extra shine and texture.
What do you think? Is this a technique you will try?
Thanks again Carly for the inspiration!
Enjoy your day,
Dana
