Happy Monday! I hope you all had a Wonderful weekend. Morgan left yesterday, so both of my girls are back at college. Meredith is finishing up her senior year at Georgetown and getting ready to graduate this May...where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday we were dropping her off in DC. Four years does go by fast- at times! I miss them both like crazy and now Ric and I need to get use to the quiet again.
I have two really sweet tags today using lots of new products from Pretty Pink Posh. I started my tags by using the Floral Hearts Stamp Set. I love how there is both an outside wreath and the inside stamp to fill in the heart. Both pieces work so well together or on their own.
Once I stamped my floral heart I used Zig Clean Color Watercolor pens to paint all the small flowers and hearts. Next, I used the Floral Hearts Coordinating Dies to cut out my heart shape. The dies are similar to the stamps in that you can cut out just the wreath, the whole heart shape, or the small inside piece- adds a lot of versatility to have so many options.
For my tags, I used the Decorative Tag 2. This is such a fun tag, it cuts out a shutter design. I cut it out twice, once out of white cardstock with the doors and once without the doors for the back of my tag. Next, I used the Scallop Hearts die to cut out the small heart for the front of my tag. I stamped and used the small flowers for the center of my heart. I then added a sentiment from the Floral Hearts stamp set.
The shutter doors open and it reveals the Floral Heart inside the window. I can't wait to tie these onto a bag of treats for Valentines' Day.
