Good Morning Friends and Happy August! I am sharing another Summer/Tropical card today...I am trying to hang on to every last bit of summer before it turns to fall! We have a wedding to go to this weekend and Meredith is coming home to go with us, Yeah!! It will be fun to have both girls home for a long weekend before Morgan heads back to school.

Good Morning Friends and Happy August! I am sharing another Summer/Tropical card today...I am trying to hang on to every last bit of summer before it turns to fall! We have a wedding to go to this weekend and Meredith is coming home to go with us, Yeah!! It will be fun to have both girls home for a long weekend before Morgan heads back to school.
I started my card by creating my background. I stamped the leaves from the Hibiscus Flowers Stamp Set in VersaMark ink and added gold embossing powder. Next, I used Color Burst powders from Ken Oliver to watercolor my leaves. I am loving these powders for watercoloring.
Next, I stamped the flamingo from the Tropical Birds Stamp Set and colored it with Copic Markers (R20, R22, Y35, Y38). I then used the coordinating dies to cut it out.
To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment onto a banner and attached everything to a cement gray mat. Lastly, I attached my card panel to my A2 card base.
