Trinity Stamps
12 Days of Christmas
December 7, 2020
HI Friends! Today I am on the Trinity Stamps Blog for the fun 12 Days of Christmas event! There will be a post each day from December 1- 14th on the Trinity Stamps video channel and blog. You won’t want to miss all of the inspiration and fun. Today, It is my turn and I am sharing a home decor piece that is easy to create with a few of my favorite dies.
I started my project by taking a trip to the craft store. I knew I wanted to use the Happy Snowman Die Set to create a home decor piece. I found a black wooden block piece that I thought would be perfect. It was inexpensive and although it had words on the front I knew that the words would be covered, so I went ahead and made my purchase. I also like that the background was a white wash color- so I didn't even need to paint it.
I created my background with Distress Oxide Ink. I used Blueprint Sketch and Faded Jeans ink. I then used the adorable Happy Snowman Dies to create my snowman. So easy and fun to put together. For my snowbank, I used the Scenic Border Die Set. Once everything was die cut I added some white splatters to all of my pieces. When everything was finished, I used a strong liquid glue to attach everything to my wooden block.
I hope you enjoyed my project today. Home decor pieces are not something I typically create, but it was fun to use my dies to create something other than a card. This would make a great hostess, neighbor, teacher etc. gift. I hope I inspired you to create a few gifts this year. It's fun and I know the recipient will appreciate the thoughtfulness.
