New Release Countdown Day 2

Good Morning! I am back today with Day 2 of the New Release Countdown for Ink To Paper. Remember to refer to the Ink To Paper Blog for all of the new product details. Also, I wanted to remind you that the new release will be available on January 20th at 10:00 PM EST. Our release packages got held up in the mail (mine sat at the PO for over a week) so they decided to move the release up a few days to give us a few extra days to create our projects. 

You are going to love today's products being showcased, they are some of my favorites! I have three cards to share today so let's get started...

For my first card I am using the new Vintage Flair Stamp and Die Set. This set includes a beautiful terrarium or lantern and lots of vintage feeling elements that you can add. I started my card my stamping my images in soft pastel colors. (Soft Stone, Pale Peony and Spring Moss). 

For my lantern, I die cut it from white cardstock three times and stacked them together to give it some dimension. I then ink blended the inside panel with a soft blue ink and inlaid them back into the die. All the stamped elements pull it all together to create a soft vintage feel. 

For my card panel I ink blended a little Soft Stone ink onto the background. I then stamped my butterflies onto the background for a little added interest. Next, I added a Sweet Blush strip of cardstock to the bottom of the panel and stamped my sentiment. Lastly, I attached my lantern and a few sequins to finish off my card.

Next, I am using the Big Balloon Set. This set includes stamps, dies and stencils (to add detail to the balloons). I started by creating my balloons. I ink blended onto the die cut balloons and then used the coordinating stencil to add color and detail. (Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores and Bright Buttercup)

For my background I used some of the confetti and streamers included in the set to stamp a random pattern. I then used the Big Balloon Sentiments Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment. Lastly, I attached my balloons and strings to my card panel with foam adhesive.

For my next card, I used the Cover Plate: Big Balloons. 

I started by running the Cover Plate: Big Balloons Die through my die cutting machine two times. On one of of the die cuts I kept the negative pieces intake. I added tape to the back to make sure none of the pieces would fall out. I then colored the balloons and strings with Copic markers (any type of markers would work for this). I then attached the two die cuts together- great way to get nice clean edges without worrying about staying in the lines on inlaying all of the small pieces back into the negative.

Next, I used the Big Balloon Sentiments Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment onto a piece of vellum. I wrapped the vellum strip around my die cut and attached it to an A2 card base that had been ink blended with Hawaiian Shores ink. Lastly, I added a few sequins and white gel pen highlights to finish off my card.
