New Release Blog Hop
February 5, 2021
Good Morning Friends! Welcome to Waffle Flower's February 2021 Release Day! I am so excited to be participating in the New Release Blog Hop. You can find all of the new product information on the Waffle Flower Crafts website. This month, the Waffle Flower release is full of stamps, dies and stencils that celebrate hope and the joy of spring! Today I am using two of the new Stamp & Stencil Combo Sets.
For my first card I am using the Spring Blooms Set. This set includes a stamp set, stencils and coordinating dies. I began by die cutting the large floral bouquet with the Spring Blooms Matching Die. I then used the negative from the die to line everything up. Next, I used the larger stamp to stamp the vase for my flowers and all of the the accent images for the flowers (mine are the same color as my vase). Lastly, I used the coordinating stencils to add color to my flowers. The stencils are labels and very easy to line up on the die and with the stamped image. Some of the smaller leaves and flowers also include single stamps and dies. I used these to stamp some of the images to add a little dimension to my bouquet. *This step is totally not necessary, the bouquet looks amazing on its own.
Once my bouquet was finished I attached it to my card mat with foam adhesive. For my sentiment, I used the Happy Birthday Sentiment Set. Lastly, I added a few black jewels to the center of a few flowers and some white gel highlights to finish my card.
My next card uses the Lighthouse Set. This set is a stamp and stencil combo set. The stencil includes all of the pieces to create your lighthouse scene plus the negative pieces to use as a mask when you add each element. I started my card by creating my background with the stencils. I then used the coordinating stamp set to stamp my detail images and my sentiment (stamped in black). This set includes the most beautiful sentiments, perfect for those occasions that I sometimes struggle with.
Next, I trimmed my panel down and mounted it onto a navy card mat. Lastly, I attached my panel to a top fold A2 kraft card base. By just changing the sentiment, I think this set will work really well for a masculine birthday card too.
Be sure to join the Blog Hop for lots of ideas and inspiration.
