Ink To Paper

New Release Countdown: Day 3

April 13, 2021

Hi friends and welcome back to day 3 of the countdown for Ink To Paper. All of the new products will be available on April 15th at 10:00 PM EST in the Ink To Paper online store. Remember you can also check the blog for all of the new release details. I have two cards to share today so let's get started...

My first card uses the new Where It Leads stamp and die set. This set creates a beautiful path and stairway scene.

I started my card by doing all of my stamping. I used the Where It Leads set and stamped the steps, gate and foliage onto the coordinating dies. There are lots of possibilities with this set and I can't wait to see what the other designers do.

For my card panel, I ink blending Blueberry Sky and Green Parakeet ink to create my background. I then attached all of my images directly onto my panel to create my scene. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment directly onto the panel. This set has such pretty sentiments too. Definitely a set I will reach for often for some of those hard to make cards.

My next card uses the new Cover Plate: Scenic Path.

For this card I ran the cover plate through my die cutting machine two times. On my first pass through I applied the typical pressure and got a clean cut. On my second pass I removed the shim and kept all of the negative pieces inside the die. I did have to apply a little tape to the back of the die to keep a few of the pieces inlaid. Next, I added ink to the die cut with the pieces still inlaid. I then attached the clean die cut directly onto my colored panel so the background colors show through. I ended up inlaying the bushes and shrubs back into the die for a little more dimension, though this step was totally unnecessary.

As a final touch I stamped and die cut the gate from the Where It Leads Set. I love how some of the images from this set coordinates with the cover plate. Lastly, I used the Just Sentiments Steps stamp set to stamp my sentiment onto a banner. This sentiment set coordinates perfectly with both of these sets.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you like my cards and please feel free to leave a comment or ask any questions and I will get back to you.

Enjoy your day,
