New Release Countdown: Day 1
Today is the first day of the new release countdown for Papertrey Ink. All of the new products will be available on January 26th in the online shop. In today's post we are using mostly dies, which I love. But don't worry... there are some fun stamp sets too that will be previewed over the next few days.
My first card uses the new Feathered Friends 19 die set. This set includes the gorgeous bird, an adorable butterfly and also a branch and some berries which I didn't use today. I die cut all of my pieces from white cardstock and used my blending brushes to add color to all of the pieces before assembling.
For my card panel I used the new Border Bling: Blooming Hearts die. I added Hawaiian Shores ink around the edges and added a rectangle to the center that I had die cut with the Love To Layer: Notched die. For my sentiment, I used the Say It Essentials stamp set. This set includes a great variety of basic sentiments.
Next, I used the Into the Blooms: Dahlia die set to die cut my two clusters of leaves. I added soft stone ink to the leaves and attached them to my card panel. I then attached my bird and butterfly to my panel and added a few clear sequins as a final touch.
My next card uses the new Into the Blooms: Roses die set. I created both roses and also the leaves with the dies included in the set. I used my blending brushes and Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise and Green Parakeet ink for all of my blending.
I once again used the new Border Bling: Blooming Hearts die to create my card panel. I die cut it from Aqua Mist cardstock and added a little Aqua Mist ink around the edges. Next, I used the Simply Stitched A2 Vertical die set to create my stitched rectangle for the center of my panel. For my sentiment, I used the new Just Sentiments: With Sympathy stamp set. Lastly, I attached my roses and leaves to my card panel.
Thanks for joining me today. Please feel free to ask any questions or to leave a comment. I love to hear from you!! I will be back tomorrow with day 2 of the countdown.
Enjoy your day,
