Neat & Tangled: Hello Fall

November 2, 2018

Hello Crafty Friends!!I have a couple of Fall inspired cards on the Drive By Crafts Blog this morning. I say this every month, but...where does the time go? I can't believe it is already November!! Though it is a fun month at our house, my birthday, 23rd wedding anniversary, a couple of trips, and both girls will be home for Thanksgiving- Lots to be Thankful for!

For my first card, I started by using the Neat & Tangled: Hello Fall Stamp Set. I used the word art sentiment stamp for my background. I placed the stamp in My Sweet Petunia: Original Misti, and used post it notes to mask off each line of the stamp. I added ink to the line I was focusing on and stamped it. Then, I moved my post it notes to uncover the next line, making sure I covered the line I just stamped. I changed colors of ink as I moved down the stamp, covering and uncovering each line. It takes a bit of time but definitely well worth the extra work.
Here is are photo to help show the process:

Next, I began working on my Maple Leaf. I used the Neat & Tangled: Maple Thanks Stamp Set. I stamped the Maple Leaf with Altenew: Embossing Ink and used Hero Arts: Gold Embossing Powder.
Then, I used Altenew: Watercolor 36 Pan Set to watercolor my leaf. If you don't have this watercolor set, you Need them!! They are by far my favorite, nice rich colors and very easy to use. Once I had my leaf watercolored and cut out, I attached it to a vellum circle, and then attached it to my card front.

For my next card, I used the Block Sentiment in the Neat & Tangled: Hello Fall Stamp Set. I stamped it in 4 fall colors and cut it out. I die cut the word fall and attached it to the bottom of my card with Scrapbook Adhesives: 3D Foam Square Variety Pack. Next, I stamped and colored a few of the leaves to use as accents on my card.

I hope I inspired you to create something for Fall!
Enjoy your weekend,
Dana
