Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday

November 7, 2018

Hello Friends!! I am stopping by to share a new (to me) technique from Confetti by Lexi (Lexi Daly). Lexi has a great video for the Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday challenge this week. She shows us how to use Patterned Paper to Make An Envelope Bag. I have Lots of patterned paper...so this is the perfect technique for me!

For my bags, I used lots of supplies from Make It Market kit: Wonderland. I bought this kit last year but did not have enough time to use it much...so I am definitely using it a lot this year- I hope you don't mind. There are actually a few kits left in the Papertrey Ink Store.

For my first bag, I used the city die included in the kit. I layered the city scene onto the tag backer die with the snowflake die tucked behind (lots of layer). I stamped the pretty little skater and added her to my scene. The sentiment is also from the kit. I love how the sentiments fit perfectly onto the bottom of your die cut. My patterned paper is also part of the kit.

I once again watched Lexi's video and followed her steps to make my second bag. This time, I used the Snowfall Style #1 die to make my snowflake accent. I die cut 4 of the snowflakes and stacked them together to give them some dimension. Then, I attached my snowflake to to the oval tag, stamped my sentiment onto a banner and layered everything onto my bag.

Here are my bags flat to help give you an idea of the size:

Depending on where you place your score lines and folds you can adjust the width and depth of your bags. They all go together the same easy way! The size of the bag is great for a small little gift or treat!! Thanks Lexi for the wonderful video and inspiration!!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Papertrey Ink- Wonderland Make It Market Kit
Dies: Papertrey Ink- Wonderland Kit, Snowfall Style #1
Paper: Papertrey Ink- Wonderland Kit, Cardstock, Patterned Paper

Thanks for stopping by today!!
Enjoy,
Dana
