New Release Countdown: Day 3

Happy Friday!! It is day 3 of the new release countdown at Papertrey Ink and today I am sharing both a Halloween card and my first Christmas card of the season. 

For my Halloween card I am using the new Pumpkin Party set. I stamped my pumpkins in black ink and then used a blending brush to add color. By blending the color onto the pumpkins I was able to get a little bit lighter shade of color. Next, I stamped the fun designs and patterns onto each of the pumpkins. Colors used: Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest and Weathervane.

For my card panel I used the Border Bling: Twinkle Die. I die cut it from white cardstock and then mounted it onto a Sweet Blush card base. I know pink isn't a "traditional" Halloween color but I thought it was fun and unexpected.

Lastly, I used the new Hey Boo die to create my sentiment. I die cut the sentiment from black cardstock 3 times and stacked them together for a little extra dimension. To finish my card I attached my sentiment and my pumpkins to my card panel. The Pumpkin Party set is so fun and there are so many possibilities with their fun designs and patterns.

Next, I used the new Scene Everywhere: Winter and From Our Home To Yours to create a Christmas card. These two sets can be used alone though also combined to create the most adorable winter and holiday scenes! I am in love with this set and I think it will be very popular.

You can add as much detail with the stamps and dies as you would like. I used the From Our Home To Yours set to stamp the house, the trees and the sentiment. The Scene Everywhere set includes the frame, snowbank, snowy detail, and snowflakes. Both sets have so many options and are so fun to use. I think the frame will also make a really fun tag for Christmas too.
