New Release Countdown: Day 2

Hi friends and welcome back to day 2 of the countdown for Papertrey Ink. Today we are using some of the fun new Halloween products! You are going to love what the design team members created, so fun!! All of the new product details can be found on the Papertrey Ink Blog

My frist project uses the new Haunted House die and stamp set. It coordinates with the previous released Tent Style Packaging Holiday House to create the most adorable Haunted House, perfect for Halloween! I also think you could use a lot of the dies to add on to the Holiday House to create more of a victorian or gingerbread type house. All of the products will coordinate perfectly to give you lots of options.

I started my project by die cutting the basic house shape and roof from Winter Wisteria cardstock. I then used a brick stencil to add a little extra detail to each piece. Next, I used the Haunted House dies and stamps to create all of the little fun and extra accessories. This part is so fun... there are really so many possibilities with this set. I used both liquid glue and foam adhesive to add all the pieces and to decorate my house.

I then attached the front and the back of the house together and created a tent. There are two hole at the top of the house to secure it together. You can use brands, eyelets, ribbon, etc. to hold the house closed. I wrapped baker's twine through the holes, tied it at the back and then attached a bat directly to the twine and over the holes. *You can still untie the twine and open and close the packaging because I attached the bat to the twine and not the house. Lastly, I slid a glassine bag full of treats into the opening and secured it in place.

Next, I created a card with the Boo Black Cat stamp and die set. I am in love with this scaredy cat!! He is just the cutest.

I used the new Cover Plate: Pumpkins to create my card panel. I die cut it from Weathervane cardstock and added a piece of vellum and Orange Zest patterned paper behind it for some added color.

Lastly, I attached my images and added a little spider from the Haunted House set to finish my card. Such a fun and easy card to create.

Next, I used the Boo Black Cat set again to create some treat boxes.

I started by once again stamping the images from the Boo Black Cat set in Halloween colors and die cutting them with the coordinating dies. Because of the size of the images it was very easy to add a little glue and connect the cat, moon and sentiment together. I also added the little spider from the Haunted House set again too! Once everything was connected I punched a small hole and added some baker's twine to create a tag.

Next, I used the Essential Pillow Box Die to die cut my pillow box from Orange Zest and True Black patterned paper. I absolutely love this die and I am so glad to see it back in stock at PTI... it is by far my most used die ever. It is the perfect size for small treats and or a gift card too.

I wrapped some coordinating cardstock and trim around the center of the pillow box for some added detail. Lastly, I tied my tags the boxes to finish them off. Such a fun project to create.

Thanks for joining me today and I will be back in a few minutes with a second post for the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop.

Enjoy your day,
