Papertrey Ink
New Release Countdown: Day 3
Hi friends I hope you all had a nice weekend. We are starting a major kitchen and family room remodel this next week so I have been very busy boxing everything up and going through and emptying every cupboard. We built our home 21 years ago so you can imagine the amount of stuff that has been accumulated. Since our girls are no longer at home, Ric and I will live here while it is all going on and just deal with the mess as it comes along. This is all sounded like a good idea back in June when we started this process. To say I am nervous and a little anxious is an understatement. Wish us luck and I hope I don't regret this decision, lol!! Anyways, back to my cards for today.
My first card uses the new Winter Swirls set. This is a fun set that includes lots of small snowflakes and wintery swirls to add to your cards. It is a great basic set and will add a lot of detail and interest to lots of card designs.
Once I stamped my swirls and snowflakes I used the new Farm Fresh set to stamp my tress. I decided to stamp them in soft pastel colors for a fun change. What do you think?
I ink blended a soft blue ink onto my card panel and added a snowbank. Next, I used the new Inside Greetings: Snow stamp set to stamp my sentiment in the lower right corner. Once I attached my stamped images I added a Stitched Frame to finish my card off.
My next card uses the new Farm Fresh Trees set. I am in love with this set!! I began my using the Weathered Wood stamp set to stamp my woodgrain pattern onto my sign. I used a white pigment ink and soft stone cardstock. I set it aside so the pigment ink could dry and began stamping my trees.
Once everything was stamped I went back to the sign and stamped the wording directly onto the panel. I love this sign and the farmhouse feel you can create. Once my sign was finished I added a dark brown frame and attached everything to my card panel. I once again added a Stitched Frame around the edges of my panel to finish my card.
Thanks for joining me today and I will be back tomorrow with day 4 of the countdown.
Enjoy your day,
Just had to jump to your blog to comment on your GORGEOUS cards and also the remodel! The pastel Farm Fresh card has my jaw on the floor and I love the rustic vibes of the trees on the plaid background! Good luck with your renovations...been there...done that! Hard at the time you are living it but so worth it in the end. We lived in a 30ft camper in the back yard when our 3 kids were elementary ages in 1993 while a major portion of the house was gutted and redesigned with an open concept. Later, we gutted and redid our kitchen in 2015 and had new flooring put down in kitchen, dining room, laundry room, hallway. Hard work and I get tired just thinking about it - lol! Good luck with it all!
