Make It Monday

Papertrey Ink: Layering Patterns Over Images

August 25, 2018

Happy Weekend! I hope you are doing something fun today and enjoying the end of August!! Today is my Husband's Birthday (Happy Birthday Ric) and we are moving our daughter into her college dorm.
I have a card for the Make it Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink today. Dawn McVey has a great video where she demonstrates how to layer a background stamp over your stamped image.

I began my card by stamping flowers from the Papertrey Ink stamp set, Bold Blossoms. I kept my flowers in the bottom corner and used some of my favorite bright colors of ink. Next, I used the Cover Up: Hexagon stamp set to stamp over my flowers. I then used the Tipped Tops dies to cut out my card panel. I used the bigger die to cut a boarder out of Pale Peony cardstock.

Next, I added my sentiment directly onto my card panel and added a few cute bees to finish my panel.  I attached my card panels to an A2 card.
Will you be making a card for the PTI Make it Monday challenge this week? They also have Stamp-A-Faire happening this weekend with lots of Fun demonstrations and inspiration. I am out of town this weekend but I definitely will be watching and following along. Hoping when I get back home I will be able to complete a few of the challenges.
