The Greetery

Christmas Tags

November 7, 2019

Good Morning and Welcome! Today I am sharing a fun and quick set of Christmas tags that I created the other day. I tell you...Betsy (The Greetery) is a genius! She once again created a product that has me in awe. Just look at all of these tags I created!

I started my tags my stamping the basic tag shapes with the Speed Tagging Christmas Rubber Stamp in my MISTI. I stamped them five times in five different colors. I then used the Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set to stamp all of my sentiments onto my tags. I once again used my MISTI for quick stamping.

Next, I used the Speed Tagging Die and ran my tags through my die cutting machine. You line the large die up with the small circles placed around the stamp so you get a perfect cut with one pass through your die cutting machine. A genius idea!!

Just look at them all! You could definitely leave them like this, but I decided to add a little more detail.

I began creating my accents by running the Speed Tagging Christmas Details Die though my die cutting machine (I kept all of my dies attached). I then used the negative piece to line up the small detail stamps in my MISTI.

I then inlaid the die cut pieces back into the negative die cut in my MISTI and stamped them. Here they are in green:

I just kept adding new die cuts and changing colors of ink to quickly stamp all of the detail images. This technique worked really well and made for quick stamping. Once I had all of my images stamped I added them to my tags for a little extra detail. You can be as creative as you want with the details. For the most part I kept everything fairly simple...I know the tags will be thrown away on Christmas morning.

Look at all of these tags!! So quick, easy and fun to create. I think I will put a few tags in a cellophane bag and tie the bag up with ribbon. They will make the perfect little "thinking of you" type gift for the Christmas season.
Thanks for joining me today! I will be back soon with another project to share.
Enjoy your day,
Dana
