New Release Countdown: Day 3

Hi friends and welcome back to day 3 of the countdown for Papertey Ink. Today we are using some fun new birthday products that you will love!! 

My first card uses the new Mash-Up Birthday set. I am in love with this sentiment set!! The size, font and design are perfect!! I created a clean and simple card and allowed the sentiment to be the focus. 

For my card design I ran the Border Bling: Twinkle die through my die cutting machine with Enchanted Evening cardstock. I then added a rectangle of Orange Fizz and Simply Chartreuse cardstock to the center. Lastly, I attached my sentiment with foam adhesive. Super quick and easy to create, though I love the results. This is definitely a set I will be reaching for often.

My next card uses the new Cover Plate: Birthday. 

I started my card by creating an alcohol ink background. Are you a fan of alcohol ink? When I get my supplies out, I always make a bunch of backgrounds. I keep them in a basket and just pull one out when I want to use one for a card. 

I ran the panel through my die cutting machine with new Birthday Cover Plate. Next, I mounted the die cut onto my A2 card base. I once again used the Border Bling: Twinkle die to die cut some extra small stars. I then filled in my panel with the smaller stars. This step is totally unnecessary though I thought I few more stars would be a fun touch. 

The possibilities are endless with this die. There are so many fun techniques you can use. I love how quick and easy it was to make this card too. I think this will another die that I reach for often.
