Pretty Pink Posh
Happy July!! Can you believe it is July already? What happened to June?? Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by the amazing Laura Bassen. I am sure you follow her and if you don't you are missing out. She is definitely one of my favorites!! She does rainbows like no other, but she also shared a card where she embossed some flowers and then ink blended them in red, white and blue. I had to give it a try...
I started my card by making my background. I used one of the Layered Stars Stencils and white pigment ink. I then added white paint splatters to the panel and set it aside to dry.
Next, I began working on my basket. I ran the Easter Basket Die through my die cutting machine with white cardstock. I then used the Floral Corners Stamp Set to stamp my floral cluster with VersaMark ink. I heat set the image with white embossing powder and then ink blended the bouquet with red and blue ink. For my sentiment, I used the 4th of July Stamp Set and coordinating die. Once I had my basket finished I decided to use the Spring Robins Set to add a couple of birds to my card as a final touch.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to pull out some stamps and dies that were designed for other occasions and use them in a new way. I think these flowers could be ink blended with lots of different colors for so many different occasions.
Enjoy your day,
