Create Along With Us

Papertrey Ink

Good Morning Friends! I think I may have said this before, but the Create Along With Us challenge at Papertrey Ink is one of my favorites!! The Papertrey Ink Design Team is Amazing (in my opinion) and every release is Full of Wonderful ideas and projects!! The hardest part is deciding what card or project I want to use for my inspiration.

This month, I used this card by Dawn McVey: My Favorite Things. I loved the way she added the strip of cardstock to the center of her frame to change the look.

So for my card I wanted to use this same idea. I began by die cutting the Papertrey Ink: Bold Borders, Yuletide Die in both white and pale blue cardstock. Next, I added 2 1/2 inch strip down the center of my frame. I love how this gives me another option (look) for this frame die.

Next, I used the Papertrey Ink: Spruce & Sprigs Stamp and Die set for my greenery. Before everything was attached to my card front I stamped my sentiment in black ink. 

Yesterday, while I was finishing up my cards I had stopped by Instagram and Dawn had posted a Gorgeous picture of some holly she was stamping with gold Nuvo mousse around the edges. Well...my holly needed some sparkle too!! So to finish up my card I used a glue pen and added some super fine glitter to the edges of my holly and my berries.  I love the added sparkle!!
