Let's Get Tropical

Pretty Pink Posh

July 8, 2019

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a Fun weekend and are ready to start a new week. I am getting back into my routine today... a little exercise and a whole lot less junk food. Wish me luck!

For my card today, I started with the Tropical Background Stencil. I love the detail of this stencil. I sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray from Therm O Web to hold the stencil in place. This spray works really well with any stencil, but in my opinion it is a must have for the delicate design of this stencil in particular. I used Papertrey Ink in Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise and Green Parakeet for my blending.

Next, I stamped my Hibiscus Flowers in black ink and used the coordinating Hibiscus Flowers Dies to die cut my images. I then stamped my sentiment from the Tropical Birds Stamp Set onto black cardstock and heat set white embossing powder.

To finish my card I trimmed down my stenciled background and attached it to a tropical green mat. I then attached my hibiscus flowers to the bottom corner of my card with foam adhesive and tucked in my sentiment. Lastly, I attached everything to an A2 card base.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Please feel free to leave a comment or a question and I will do my best to answer you.
