Camp Create Day 1
July 18, 2018
Good Morning Friends! I am back today with Day 1 of MFT Stamps Camp Create. My dies arrived late yesterday afternoon so I was able to quickly get my card made and photographed before it was too dark. The stamp set I am using (Rainbows & Unicorns) was a Free Gift for attending Junkie Fest, Thank You MFT Stamps for your generous donation. Actually, the card I made today was inspired by an interactive card I made while attending a class taught by MFT Stamps.
Today's challenge was to incorporate watercolor into your card design. I followed the video fairly closely and used my my Color Burst Powders and Nuvo Shimmer Powders to create by night sky/background. I also flicked a little white paint onto my background for some added detail and color.
Next, I stamped and colored the MFT Stamps Rainbows & Unicorns images. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I created a frame in my card panel with the MFT Stamps Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame Die. I then used the MFT Stamps Stitched Edges Cloud Die set to create my clouds. I attached these to the back of my frame. Next, I attached my frame and clouds to my card panel with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added my colored unicorn and castle to my card front.
I hope you enjoyed my card today. Please feel free to ask any questions or leave a comment. Also, you might want to go watch the video at MFT Stamps, Stephanie does a great job of explaining the process for making a Wonderful Watercolor background.
Enjoy your day,
Dana
