25 Days of Christmas Tags

Pretty Pink Posh

November 20, 2019

Hi Friends! I am back today participating in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Blog Event organized by Tracey McNeely from In My Creative OpinionThis is such a fun event with so many sponsors and designers participating each day. Have you been following along each day? There are so many amazing projects being shared!

Today, I have the honor of participating along with Pretty Pink Posh. A lot of the design team members have created projects, so make sure you stop by Tracey's blog and she will have all of the links.

I started my tags by using my Altenew watercolor pans. I added pinks, greens and a little yellow to sheets of watercolor paper, mixing and adding more paint and or water to get my desired shade of pink. I then added some specks of white acrylic paint to my watercolor sheets. I let this dry and then used the Stitched Poinsettias Dies to die cut my flowers and leaves.

Here is a close up of the poinsettia flower. It is a layering die that includes three different sizes of petals, two different leaves, and two dies for the center of the flower. Such a pretty flower and I love all of the stitched detail.

For my first tag, I used all three layers of petals... I just love this large size, perfect for a tag or a card front. I attached my flower to a Decorative Tag 2 Die, cut from soft aqua cardstock.

I then used the Holiday Greetings Sentiment Set to stamp my sentiment onto my tag. I stamped it with VersaFine Clair ink in black and heat set my sentiment with clear embossing powder.

For my next tag, I followed the same steps as above though this time I added two layers of the smallest petal and left off the largest layer in the back. Because the layers are made to work together your poinsettias look gorgeous no matter how you stack the layers.
I hope I inspired you to create a few more Christmas tags this year!

Thanks again to Tracey McNeely for organizing this fun event!! And thank you to all of the sponsors!! Make sure you stop by Tracey's blog for all of the details and prize information.

Enjoy your day,
Dana
