Good Morning Friends and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Did you participate in all of the fun for National Scrapbooking Day (NSD)? There were lots of challenges, giveaways and inspiration being shared throughout the crafting community. It was definitely a nice little distraction.
Today, I am sharing a little scrapbooking and card making combined. Close To My Heart sent me some some fun supplies to use for their monthly promotion Blue Skies. I couldn't wait to get started, the colors in this pack are so bright and fun, just what I needed! They also sent me an extra pack of their Blue Skies Paper and Sticker Pack to Giveaway!! You will find all of the information at the bottom of my post for the giveaway.
It has been exactly one year since Meredith graduated from Georgetown, so I thought I had better get these pictures scrapbooked! The Blue Skies Collection was just perfect for this occasion, so bright and cheery! I started my page by creating my layout. I used the Blue Skies Coordinating Cardstock along with Blue Skies Paper Pack. For my layout inspiration I also used a How To Book. These books provide you with all of the dimensions for cutting your paper and for the placement of your photos. I have had these books for years and refer to them often, they are a great tool to have.
Aren't these flowers and title fun? They are part of the Beautiful Day Stamp and Thin Cuts Set. I love how they coordinate so well with the patterned paper.
For my second page, I once again used the paper from the Blue Skies Collection. I kept my layout fairly simple and let me photos be the focus.
Because I had so many photos, I also used the Pocket Plus Memory Protector. This allows you to add "extra" photos into your double page layout without creating additional pages. Perfect for an occasion when you have a few extra pictures that you want to use. I will just insert this half page directly into my album, between my layout.
Next, I went ahead and created a few cards too. I had lots of paper left over and I also wanted to use the coordinating stamp set again. Don't you just love these stamps? Perfect for so many occasions.
For my sentiments, I used some older Close To My Heart sets: Wise Guy Birthday Occasions and Year Round Cheer, though any sentiments you have will work.
