Ink To Paper

Release Countdown Day 4

August 14, 2020

Happy Friday Friends! Today is the final Countdown Day for the New Release at Ink To Paper. All of the New Products will be available tomorrow night (August 15th) at 10:00 PM EST. You can find all of the product details and information on the Ink To Paper Blog.

I have two projects to share with you today, a card and an adorable stitched acorn. Let's get started with the card first...

I started my card by doing all of my die cutting and ink blending. I used Distress Oxide Ink for all of my blending. First, I die cut the acorn from the In Stitches: Acorn Die Set. I stamped my sentiment onto the acorn with the Inside Greetings: Grateful Stamp Set. Next, I created my bird with the Feathered Friends 3 Die Set. Lastly, I used the Into The Blooms Die Set (from last month's release) to create my sunflower. Once everything was finished I spritzed all of my pieces with water.

For my card panel, I used the new Border Bling: Grateful Vines die and a piece of Prairie Grass cardstock. I love how this die also includes the word grateful. I ran the sentiment through my die cutting machine and ink blended it with Faded Jeans ink. I then attached it to the top of my acorn.

Once my card was finished I splattered a little Perfect Pearls (Perfect Gold) to my card panel.

Now onto my felt project...

I created a felt acorn with the In Stitches: Acorn Die Set. For my acorn I used Terracotta Tile and Classic Kraft Felt. I ran it through my die cutting machine two times and stitched the pieces together. I left the top piece open in the back so I could create a pocket.

I think these little acorns will look so cute filled with some chocolates for a fall place setting at the dinner table.

They are also the perfect size to hold a gift card. As you can see my stitches are very basic but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the acorn came together. I think I will die cut a few different sets and put them together when I have a little extra time or I am watching television.

I hope you have enjoyed all of my projects these last 4 days. I will be back tomorrow (release day) with a card too! Thanks for joining me.

Enjoy your day,

  1. Gorgeous mix of colours on your first card, I have those so I must give it a try. I'm not much of a stitcher but love the results.
