Papertrey Ink

New Release Countdown: Day 3

Welcome back to day 3 of the countdown for Papertrey Ink! I hope you have been enjoying all of the sneak peeks. It's always so fun to see what everyone has created. I love springtime and the products today are just so fun! I have 3 cards to share, so let's get started...

My first card uses the new Feathered Friends #20 set. This set includes two different size chicks. I die cut a few of each size and then stamped them in a rainbow of colors. Since I wanted to use all chicks in all of the colors, I decided to make a mini slimline card.

For my card panel I ink blended Blueberry Sky and Spring Rain ink to create the sky. I then used the new Grassy Edge die to create my grass. The die wasn't quite long enough to make a mini slimline card so you can see I just pieced two pieces together and then used a chick to help cover the line.

Next, I stamped my sentiment from the new Inside Greeting: Spring Blessings stamp set onto a banner and attached it the my panel. Lastly, I added my chicks to finish my card. These colorful little chicks just make me smile!

For my next card I started by making the card panel. I used a cloud stencil and the grassy edge die again. This time I used the new Just Sentiments: Spring Blessings stamp set and stamped my sentiment directly onto the grass.

Next, I used the new Weave A Basket die set to make my basket. I then attached the basket behind the grassy edge.

Next, I used the new Elegant Eggs dies to make my eggs for inside the basket. I ink blended the top (detail) layer and attached it to a white base. Lastly, I added two chick from the Feathered Friends #20 set to finish my card.

For my third card, I combined a few different sets.

I started my card by die cutting a circle with the Love to Layer: Scalloped Circle die. I then used the new Inside Greetings: Spring Blessings stamp set to stamp sentiment in the center of the circle. I attached the circle to a piece of patterned paper and added a frame that had been die cut with the Border Bling: Skinny Stitched Frame die.

I then used the XO Heart Frame die to create a wreath to go around the edge of the white circle. I once again used the new Elegant Egg dies to create my eggs for the bottom of my card. Lastly, I used the new Thank You Florals set to stamp my floral cluster in coordinating colors  to finish my card.

Thanks for joining me today and I will be back tomorrow with day 4 of the countdown.
Enjoy your day,
