Countdown to Confetti: Day 1
Hi friends! Today is the first day of the new release countdown for Reverse Confetti!! You are going to love this release... it might just be my favorite so far!! There are five new stamp sets and ten new die sets (four of them coordinate with the stamp sets). Lots of fun new products to get you ready for spring and Easter.
Today I am using the adorable new floral set, Sending Smiles. For my first card I started by stamping the floral image in a soft yellow color and added orange accents. I then stamp the leaves in a traditional spring green ink.
Once I was finished with my stamping I began working on my card panel. I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide ink in Squeezed Lemonade and added a few splatters for a little added interest. Next, I used the new Layered Mom with Frame to create my white frame. I love how this frame adds the perfect amount of detail to the edge of your card design. I know it is a die that I will be reaching for often.
To finish my card I attached my flowers and added my sentiment to my panel with foam adhesive. The sentiment is also from the Sending Smiles set.
For my next card, I used the new Big Egg die and created a shaker card. This die is perfect for using as a shaker. I die cut the Big Egg from the center of my panel and then added a piece of acetate behind the opening. I laid the egg die cut on top of the acetate and then added foam adhesive on the backside, sectioning off each opening. I added colored jewels to each section and then closed the shaker up with a panel I had ink blended in rainbow colors (to match the jewels).
Next, I used the Sending Smiles set again to stamp my flower. You will notice on this flower I included the outline where on the yellow flowers I left the outline off. I think it works both ways... what do you think? Lastly, I used the new Springtime Sentiments set to stamp my sentiment.
