Incorporating Packaging Dies Into Your Cards
October 4, 2018
Hello Friends! Today I am participating in the Make It Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink. This week Lizzie Jones has a great video and challenges us to use our Packaging Dies to make a card. Last week, I used the Make It Market: All Through The House kit for the Make it Monday challenge. I will again be using this same kit and supplies for my card and tags today.
For my card, I started with the backer die and made a little scene on a panel with the snowman (my favorite) and the Christmas tree. I stamped a sentiment and attached the panel to an aqua mist paper cut with the scalloped (backer) die. The die is actually a frame that can be added to the matchbox die that is part of the kit. I layered everything on a piece of patterned paper also from the kit.
I began my tags by die cutting the cute little houses. First, I die cut the door (so it can open and close) and the windows. Then, I added a glittery snow covered roof, some window details and a lamp post. I attached a second house behind the top layer for a backing. Inside the door I stamped To and From. To finish my tags I punched a hole in the top and attached some Baker's Twine for a tie.
I love the Make It Market Kits from Papertrey Ink. Everything is included and so well thought out. I actually ordered the new one (Fairy Tale Christmas) on Monday evening...now I just have to wait for it to arrive!
