Technique Tuesday & WOW Embossing Powder

I started my card by stamping my dragonflies from the Dreamy Dragonfly Stamp Set with VersaMark ink. Next, I heat set WOW! Primary Fuchsia Fusion, Primary Lemon, and Primary Blue Topaz embossing powders. These colors are gorgeous and emboss like a dream!! I will admit...this is my first time using WOW! Embossing Powders, but I am hooked!! I will definitely be adding more colors to my collection.

Next, I used the Dragonfly DIY Crafting Dies to die cut my embossed dragonflies. 

For my card design, I attached a piece of black and white polka dot patterned paper to the left side of my card. I stamped my sentiment onto my white panel and attached that to my card base. Lastly, I used foam adhesive to attach my dragonflies to my card front to finish my card. I just love the bright embossed dragonflies on the black and white card front...bright and summery!

For my second card, I used the same Dreamy Dragonfly Stamp Set.

I stamped the dragonflies onto kraft cardstock and heat set them with WOW! Blue Glitz Embossing Powder. I have never had very good luck with glitter embossing powder...it always seemed to melt too much. I have to say the WOW! embossing powder in glitter works great! I am thinking with a different sentiment this card would be perfect for the 4th of July.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment onto a Jam Jar Label and attached it to my card front.
