Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hi Friends! I am so excited to be a "guest" this month on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog.

For my card today I used the Gorgeous Altenew: Ornate Foliage Stamp Set. I love all the layers and pieces that are included with this set, and it is so easy to line up! To begin my card I stamped the outline with Gina K Amalgam Ink in Jet Black. Next, I stamped all of the layers with Distress Ink. I lined the stamps up in my MISTI, added ink, spritzed the inked stamp up with water and closed the lid. I wanted my colors to blend slightly and have the appearance of watercolor.  The Colors I used were: Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Moved Lawn and Lucky Clover. Once my stamping was finished I used the Ornate Foliage Die Set to die cut my images.

For my card panel I did some tone on tone stenciling with the Pretty Pink Posh Wide Stripes Stencil. I am in love with this stencil, it creates the perfect background! The colors I used for my ink blending were Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Abandoned Coral. 

To finish my card, I attached my floral images with Foam Adhesive and trimmed down my panel. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment with black ink before attaching everything to my A2 card base.
