Technique Tuesday

Blog Hop

July 2, 2019

It is the start of a new month and that means there is a New Release at Technique Tuesday! Today is our monthly blog hop, which is always Full of Fun and Inspiration. This month there is also a gift certificate being given away. I will have all the details at the bottom of my post along with the Blog Hop order.
Let's get started with my card...

I started my card by stamping the Hollyhocks onto the bottom of my card with Black VersaFine Clair Ink. This is my first time using this ink, and I am very happy with the results. It stamps very crisp and stays a little tacky (like VersaMark ink) so that you can heat set embossing powder. I then added clear embossing powder to my stamped hollyhocks.

Next, I used my Zig Clean Color Pens to watercolor my flowers. I trimmed my card panel down and die cut a frame from my panel. This gave my card a little extra detail and added interest.

I then mounted my card panel onto my card base layering my cut pieces back together. I had die cut one extra frame to layer behind my stamped frame to give it a little extra dimension. It is very subtle, just what I had hoped for.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment and added a few jewels.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my card. I can't wait to see what everyone creates for the Blog Hop today!
