Ink To Paper

New Release Countdown: Day 1

Hi friends and welcome to day 1 of the new release countdown for Ink To Paper. I can't believe it is already time for another release. Summer will be here before we know it and this release is perfect for all of your summertime crafting.

How fun is this bottle? It is from the new Message In A Bottle Set. I die cut the bottle from white cardstock and then ink blended it with a soft aqua ink. Next, I used the coordinating stamps to add the details to the bottle and cork. The cork actually slides out and you can attach a scroll to it... so fun! For my card though, I used the Just Sentiments: Summer Stamp Set to stamp my message onto the oval opening of the bottle.

Those fun little flowers are also part of the bottle die set. They include a long stem and the can also fit down in the bottle. There are so many possibilities with this set.

For my card panel, I created a soft stone cardstock mat that I ink blended some polka dots onto with a stencil. I then used the Border Bling: Skinny Postage Frame and large Delicate Doily Die to create my layers under my bottle. Lastly, I attached my bottle and flowers to my card panel.

For my next card I decided to use the Message In A Bottle Set again. This time I created my bottle with Kraft cardstock and used the new Just Sentiments: Summer for my sentiment.

To accent my bottle I used the new Summer Shells Die Set. I die cut the shells from white cardstock and then added Summer Sunrise, Harvest Gold, Blueberry Sky, Kraft and Green Parakeet ink to the shells. I love the size and detail on these dies.

I made my card panel by ink blending Stormy Sky and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock. I then added a few splatters with the Stormy Sky reinker. I attached my images and mounted my panel onto an Enchanted Evening mat before attaching it to a Kraft card base.

Thanks for joining me today and I will be back tomorrow with day 2 of the countdown.

Enjoy your day,
