Ink To Paper

New Release Countdown: Day 3

It's day 3 of the countdown for Ink To Paper and today we are using some fun new dies that are perfect for the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or anytime you need to create something patriotic.

My first card uses the new Love To Layer: American Flag Die. I am in love with this die!! The die is 3 separate pieces and they easily line up and layer together. I cut the back panel from Red Poppy cardstock, the stripes from white and the stars from Enchanted Evening cardstock.

For my card panel, I used a stencil and ink blended some stars onto a piece of Kraft cardstock with Fresh Snow ink. I then added a few white splatters. For my sentiment, I used Keep It Simple: Bless the USA stamp set. I think this set is retired but any 4th of July sentiment would work great.

To finish my card, I attached my flag and sentiment with foam adhesive to my card panel. Lastly, I attached my panel to an A2 card base. I love this card. I think it will make really fun invitations for a 4th of July gathering.

For my next card I decided to create a shaker card. I die cut the opening in my card panel with a square die. I then backed the opening with acetate and foam adhesive. Next, I filled my shaker with some red, white and blue sequins. Lastly, I sealed the opening up with a Pure Poppy card base.

For my sentiment, I used the new To Die For Sentiment: God Bless America. I attached the word die directly to the acetate with a little liquid glue. I then added a piece of Enchanted Evening striped paper to the bottom of my card. I once again used the Keep It Simple: Bless The USA stamp set to stamp my sentiment onto a banner.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you liked my cards. I will be back tomorrow for the last day of the countdown.

Remember you can always find all of the new release information on the Ink To Paper Blog. The release will be available on May 15th at 10pm EST.

Enjoy your day,
