May Card Kit of the Month
Hello Friends! I have a fun and a little bit different post today. I was sent the May Card Kit from Spellbinders a few weeks and let me tell you it's a box full of happiness! This month the kit is called Beach Day and it's perfect for summer, vacation and the tropics. You receive everything you need to make multiple cards. I made three cards and you can't even tell I used the kit at all. Here are some sample cards from Spellbinders and a list of what it is included:
Here is my first card:
I began all of my cards the same way. I layered different pieces of patterned paper (you receive a whole paper pad of 6x6 patterned paper) to create my card panel. Because it is a kit everything coordinates and goes together very easily.
Next, I used the ephemera and some of the chipboard pieces to add all of my fun little details. I just kept layering the pieces and tucking them behind each other until I was happy with the cluster of images. I don't normally make cards like this so it was really fun to try something new.
My next two cards were created the same way.
Don't you just love the mermaid and the beach umbrella? It has me dreaming of the ocean...my favorite place.
There is also a stamp set and some dies included in the kit. I had so much fun just layering the ephemera and die cut pieces that were included I didn't even use the stamp set. I did use the large anchor die on my next card though. Can you find it? I tucked it behind my frame and flowers.
I hope you liked my cards today and I hope you consider joining the Spellbinder Card Kit of the Month. I promise you, you won't be disappointed! I already saw the June kit and it is a definite must have!! If you have any questions you can find lots of helpful information here: FAQ's about kits. There are also lots of other kits offered by Spellbinders and you can find all of them here: Spellbinders Clubs. They're such a great value and it's so fun to get a package in the mail every month. Thanks for joining me today and thank you Spellbinders for asking me to be a guest for the next few months.
Enjoy your day,
