MFT Stamps
New Release
Hi Friends!! I am so excited to be sharing a few cards for the new release at MFT Stamps. You can find all of the new products available right now in the store: New Release and all the important information here on the blog: Blog Post. There are so many wonderful new sets and I love how they cover such a nice range of occasions. For my cards today I am using the new Freshly Picked Bouquet Stamp Set.
The Freshly Picked Bouquet Stamp Set is a gorgeous outline bouquet image. I know most people will color this floral image and create amazing cards. All of you that love to color, this set is perfect and I can't wait to see what you create! I am going to be honest with you... coloring something this large is kind of intimidating to me so I chose the next best thing, ink blending and adding strips of colored cardstock!
I started both of my cards by stamping the floral bouquet in black VersaFine Clair ink. I then heat set the image with clear embossing powder.
On my first card, I left the stamp lined up in my Misti so I could restamp it once I attached my strips. Because I placed my card panel back into the Misti without moving the stamp I knew everything would line up perfectly. Such a fun technique and it works best with large stamps such as this.
For my next card I used a masking stencil to blend ink over my stamped bouquet. I like how the stencil creates a clean edge around the card panel. To finish my cards I stamped my sentiments onto a black banner and added white embossing powder. Lastly, I added a few clear sequins as a final touch.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to try a few different techniques with the gorgeous new Freshly Picked Bouquet Set from MFT. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will get back to as soon as I can. Thank you also to MFT for sending me so many wonderful new products from the new release.
Enjoy your day,
