Waffle Flower

Social Butterflies

Good Morning Friends! I hope you all had a good week and are ready for the weekend. It has been busy here on my blog this week, lots of fun new releases. Today I am using some of the new products that were released this week at Waffle Flower Crafts. They generously sent me a few new sets to use and I couldn't wait to make a few cards.

For my first card I am using the new Outlined Butterflies Panel Die. I am in love with the die... the possibilities are endless!

I started my card by ink blending my background with Distress Oxide Ink. The colors I used were Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet. I then ran the Outlined Butterflies Panel Die through my die cutting machine. Next, I attached the butterfly panel to my ink blended background. *I did have to inlay a few of the white pieces that had fallen out of the die, though this step is totally unnecessary.

For my sentiment, I used the new Label Maker Sentiments Stamp and Die Set. I love these sentiments! They remind me of the label maker I had as a child in the seventies. Yes, I am that old :) I stamped them in black ink though they will be fun in so many colors. One stamp and one die and you can create all of this sentiments in a matter of minutes. I can't wait to use them again.

To finish my card I attached my sentiment onto my panel with foam adhesive. I made a thank you card, though by just changing the sentiment this card will be perfect for lots of different occasions.

For my next card I used the new Circle Butterfly Shaker Die. I die cut the outline and backer from white cardstock. I then ink blended the same colors as before onto a circle. I ran it through my die cutting machine with the butterfly frame and inlaid the colorful butterflies back into the frame.

Next, I mounted my circle butterfly frame onto a rectangle that had been die cut with the stitched square die from the Lacy Squares Dies Set. I attached this to a top folding square card that measures 4x4 inches. Lastly, I attached my sentiment onto my card panel with foam adhesive.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you liked my cards. I also want to thank Waffle Flower for sending me these fun new products!

Enjoy your day,
