Papertrey Ink

New Release Countdown: Day 1

Hi friends and welcome to day one of the new release countdown for Papertrey Ink. All of the new products will be available on Friday, March 25th in the online shop. Today we are using some gorgeous new Tulip sets, so let's get started...

For my first card I combined the new Totally Tulips stamp and die set along with the Vase Collection 8 set. They are a perfect match and so adorable together. I stamped my tulips in lemon tart, harvest gold, hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz ink. I stamped the leaves in green parakeet and new leaf ink.

To create my card panel, I stamped the Nifty Plaid background onto a piece of aqua mist cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat set it with white embossing powder. I then used the Woodwork die to create the "ground" and attached a frame around the edges of my panel that had been die cut with the Skinny Stitched Frame die.

Once I attached my watering can and tulips to my card panel I used the Essential Sentiments set to stamp my sentiment. Lastly, I used the With Love set to stamp and die cut the sweet little bow on my watering can.

My next card uses the gorgeous new Into the Blooms: Tulips dies. I am in LOVE with these dies. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers so I was so excited when I saw that tulips were being added to the Into the Blooms series. I used Distress Oxide ink to add color to the petals and leaves before assembling the flowers.

For my card panel, I used the new Elegant Edges: Lace die to die cut the lace detail in the bottom of my panel. This die is so pretty and it adds the perfect detail to so many card designs. I know it is one that I will be using often. Next, I used the new Just Sentiments: Quotes stamp set to stamp my sentiment directly onto the panel. Lastly, I added my tulips and a few sequins to finish my card.

Thanks for joining me and I will be back tomorrow with day 2 of the countdown.

Enjoy your day,
