Kindness Changes Everything

Hello Friends! I have a card today using a new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and Altenew. It is part of the Stamptember fun that has been going on all month long at Simon Says Stamps. Every night or so they are releasing a collaboration stamp with another stamp company. They are limited and once they are gone they won't be restocked. Anyways, it has been a lot of fun to see the stamps and dies...and I might have bought one or two.

Today I am using the Dainty Sprig stamp and die set from Altenew. As soon as I saw it posted I knew it was one that I didn't want to miss out on. I love the simple design of the flowers and the sentiments were just perfect in my opinion. I also wanted to participate in the Color Throwdown challenge with my card today. So I used their colors for my card inspiration too.

I began by stamping the main flower sprig in black ink. I used the flower stamps to add my colors and then colored my leaves with a Copic Marker (YG17). I die cut the sprig and set it aside. For my card background, I used the Horizontal Stripes die from Avery Elle. This is definitely one of my favorite background dies. 

I mounted the background die onto an A2 card. I then stamped my sentiment onto the middle circle and popped it up with foam adhesive. I used my sprig to help frame my sentiment. A fairly simple card, but I am happy with how it turned out. I love all the white space with the pop of color.
