Create Along With Us

December 14, 2018

I hope you all had a Wonderful week!! It is hard to believe that Christmas is only a week and a half away. Are you ready? I think I am, and then I remember something else I need to get done. This next week, I need to finish my wrapping and work on my grocery list. I also have a lot of Christmas stamps and dies I hope to be able to use!! Are you still creating? Or have you put everything away and moved on from Christmas? I am not quite ready to put it all away.

Today, I have a card for the Papertrey Ink: Create Along With Us challenge. I fell in love with Michelle Leone's watercolor background and had to give it a try! I began my cards by watercoloring a background with the Altenew watercolors. I used greens and turquoise on one card and purple and blues on the other. This was definitely a fun technique and one I need to use again! Once I had my backgrounds painted I set them aside to dry.

On this card, I cut a circle out of my panel and then use the inside piece to die cut my snowflake with the Papertrey Ink: Snowfall Style die. I attached my snowflake to vellum to help it stand out a little more. Next, I stamped and embossed the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Papertrey Ink: Ways to Say- Merry Christmas stamp set. I then attached my card front to a piece of Limeade Ice cardstock before attacking it to an A2 card base.

For this card, I used the larger snowflake die and cut it out of my watercolor background. Then, I inlaid a white snowflake back into the negative space. For my sentiment I used the Papertrey Ink: Keep It Simple- Christmas stamp set. This time, I attached my card front to an Enchanted Evening piece of cardstock and then attached it to my A2 card base.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Papertrey Ink- Ways To Say- Merry Christmas, Keep It Simple
Dies: PTI- Snowfall Style #1
Paper- PTI Cardstock
Other: Altenew Watercolor

Happy Friday and Enjoy your Day,
Dana
